I would like to be in. I know I am not the most cunning of Mordheim-players. But I wish there was some way we could keep the fights more even. I often get the feeling that I am screwed pretty quickly into a match. And once you are the weaker team you WILL lose and get even weaker... I get a bit of a hopeless feeling and wish I could avoid that.

I'm in. and I agree with Ren, it would be nice if we could somehow keep the warbands roughly balanced

I'm in. I want to keep using the WB we have I dont want to do a new one from my experience once you are WB level 5 and up you can be weaker and still win, and in a campian of many battles this works well. As the game is not just run up hit and get locked in combat. Ren have you tried these tactics? 1. Take you idol with you give it to a guy who will stay out of combat (spell casters, ranged and so on) 2. Take the idol with you but have him always run away and stay away from his own units (so other player not know where you main strike team is) 3. find a good spot to ambush that they cant outflank you and sit tight and wait for them 4. like 3 but drag it out (like knockoff ) and frustrate other player its taking long time and let them make mistakes (lol sorry knockoff just taking the piss mate) also your WB management is important (dont always want your best in the fight, rest some to help rookies in next fight or end up losing 2 fights in a row not one)

What if new players want to join? What if current players want to try out something different? I don't care to continue with my current warband so I will consider dropping out if the rules change.

my current thoughts:
start at wb rank 2 or 3 (whatever rating that is)
at thr end of each week players may play ai games to get close to a rating limit set by the most advanced wb. I agree that fairer fights would be better

Thx for the tips Jester. Some I have known of, but my map knowledge might be bad at times, hard to set up ambushes if I don't know where. Last time I tried- the rules had changed and opponents could climb up to an occupied spot.. which kindof messed up my whole plan.
But I think I agree with you on that higher rank teams can play more evenly than teams that differ in early ranks. Maybe we should let everyone get their teams up to rank 3 before next campaign?

It not take that long to get a WB to level 3 (done in a night) and with the added health it makes the flee option viable any players wanting in should start to level 2 or 3 WB's now

count me in, in terms of balancing things and also making the games more exciteing, how about each warband gets 3 games against the computer? with 3 cpu games it gives the chance for warbands to get to rank 1, you get an extra henchman,a couple of lvd gang members?

I know jester and maybe a couple of the others want to carry on with their level 2/3 current wbs, so once the campaing is over we'll see which has the highest rating and that will be the max rating for everyones wbs
