Three matches in the record book. Two to go. It's now or never, Gentlemen. Four playoff spots open! Nothing has been decided.
The Grudge Bringers v The Borf
MATCH OF THE WEEK
The Borf are coming off a spectacular win vs Coach Insidious' Grummsh's Glaives. A bashy team by design, but built to play the passing/handoff two-turn Touchdown game equally well. After last match's scrappy win, they'll be without their up and coming Warrior, The Drill. His ST4 and Guard spam will sorely be needed vs Coach Deano and his Grudge Bringers.
If a 0-0 draw can be said to be a 'win', then surely last match Vs Coach Jester's Serpents was it! Those little dorfs managed to go tet-a-tet with a squad of scary Tomb King's. Save Coach Jester, Deano is the hottest coach in Immortal thru three Match Days. Will his great coaching continue, or will he succumb to the Claw/MB spam that is prevalent in The Borf?
Prediction: 2-1 for the Grudge Bringers. Coaching will prevail in this one. Carnage will be wrought. I expect Coach Manco to wound Deano's chances at the playoffs with an intact team.
Gruumsh's Glaives v Falcon Firebirds
A series of heart-breaking defeats has Coach Insidious reeling. After losing his team leader, how will one of the great coaches rally his team? What can be said to console his greeenskin horde? Sadly, he's up against the reigning champion Firebirds. All that's left is to play the part of spoiler.
Coach Goodpass has shown some serious mettle after his lone loss this season. His Firebirds have done their best to forget their MD1 loss in the best manner possible; by winning! They have stood in the face of "bashy" teams only to come out unscathed. Two decisive wins have definitely set the tone for this coach to repeat as Champion and sit on the Immortal Throne!
Prediction: 3-1 for the Champion Firebirds. Coach Goodpass has Coach Insidious' number in this match. His dodgy elves will jump around the pitch, confusing the slower Orcs. A key guard here, a key tackle there... we all know how Coach Goodpass' game plan works out. Too much for Coach Insidious to handle. But that's not to say we can count him out! Coach Insidious is made of sterner stuff and simply will not give in! Give them hell, Sid!!!
Anubis Serpents v Gorland Harbingers
The Harbingers are in mourning. After losing two star players to lousy elves, they will surely be out for blood! They will remember the smug, brash elves that stole their glory on the pitch. They will focus this hatred for all things pointy-eared and project it to their undead kin. Skellies and Guardians beware!
Coach Jester has emerged as the favorite to usurp the Champion's throne. His solid playstyle is, well... solid. Da Big Fella is the beast that anchors his game. Da Big Fella isn't going anywhere anytime soon... Opposition beware!
Prediciton: 2-1 for the Serpents. Coach Jester will dominate. Too much Big Fella. Too much Ram-Cock (lol). Too much. Coach Gobag will not cede that match, though. And he won't pay any attention to my crazy predicitons, either. Coach Gorbag is a true warrior of the pitch. He'll fight thru any adversity, and this week is no exception. Jester, you had better not look past this match!
Good luck, coaches. Upload and all that! Match Day will roll next Wednesday, 19 November at 2100 GMT-8 (hey, I'm PST, now .
