And here it is - final day already!
Coach Deano and the Manco Hunters have surprised us all with some rock solid performances. His team is possibly the least sexy orc team I have ever seen, no stat increases at all, Block on the Blorcs, Block on the Throwers, Tackle on the Blitzers, just one MB... No bloat to be found here, this team is a mean, lean, bloodbowl machine! They went 6-1-1 in the regular season, before taking out Astoner and Hudd in the playoffs...
Worryingly for Dunam, Deano has already beaten two very experienced Wood Elf coaches on the way here, too...
Dunam and the Untouchables... Where to start? Never have I seen a team get quite so beat up in a season. Almost every game there have been deaths. Over 50% of the leagues casualties have been so-called Untouchable this season. Probably. Just 7 players will be fit for the final, leaving Coach Dunam relying heavily on some hired hands - something that almost cost him dearly in the semi-final! However, these are no ordinary woodies. Led by the emerging star, Shosanna, they have often out fought teams. We don't know how she does it - rumours of illegal knuckle dusters underneath those delicate lacy gloves abound, but rest assured, the orcs won't have it all their own way when the two great teams meet.
Honest Hudd's odds:
Manco Hunters: 8/11 fav Untouchables: evens
Mystic Hudd prediction - No way the woodies can take a bench into this game, and finally, it is going to cost them with some early injuries. Deano with a 2-1 grind.
Good luck to both!

Too bad for you Deano. I'm on a winning streak. I may have started slow with deaths and injuries (my first game I had 2 deaths and a broken collar bone), but my team does best in adversity. It's going to get a winning streak of 6 wins. They're at 5 right now. Your team may be a lean mean orc machine, but you can't keep up with my power elfs. I'm not even going to outpass you, I'm going to crush your orc skulls in. My defense is impregnable, the blocks are innumerable and as other coaches have seen before, I have no problem sacraficing hirelings or even old time team members to advance the one goal above all; to humiliate your orcs and leave them with their pants down while I make touchdown after touchdown. I'm not even going to need to pass, I'm just going outrun, outgun and outhit you wherever you walk until you fear your own shadow and want to run from the field like the orc pansies that you are. Becuase if you know anything, you would know that armor does nothing. Skin to win. Although if you would like to have my elfs take it easy on you, just give me the word. I wouldn't want your orcs to get hurt too much.

3-1 to Dunam. So, how do I summarise this without sounding bitter..... well, I can't!! First up though, Dunam played well and took full advantage of his dice and lack thereof of mine. Coaches can't do anything about their dice whether for or against them, and he played very well in terms of positioning and sequencing and deserved the win. A particular highlight for him was a OTT at the end of the first half which drew him up to 1-1, and in all honesty would have made it very tough for me to execute the 2-1 grind in OT which was my only realistic chance of winning this. Nuffle though made extra sure in the 2nd half, and can go do one!! I lost the cas/KO war, which is remarkable for Orcs Vs Elves..... and my general dice were just very poor, all pushy and skully!! Cherry on the cake was a Blitz kick off result after Dunam went 2-1 meant that he could score a 2 turner turnover to make it 3-1. So a good run for my first outing with Orcs, always a team I have avoided, but we fell just one match short! GG Dunam, all hail the Tin & Bones Cup Champ!!

Skin to win indeed. This was a very exciting game that could go both ways almost until the end.
Initially the untouchables won the toss and decided to kick, which was an interesting case of kick vs. kick off return.
The ball landed on the very edge of the playfield and just outside of range of both orc throwers, so in the end they covered it, but were unable to pick it up.
The untouchables sensing weakness, seized the opportunity. This ended with a catcher sprinting and dodging it's full movement to attempt to pickup the ball. This failed and set him up for a crowd surf.
Yet most of the elfs had passed the orc line and two orc throwers had to guard the ball to a whole incursion of elfs. They managed to do so and the other orcs quickly supported. A risky pickup and dodge helped the orc establish a cage: presenting a unique problem to the woodies: most of the orc team had already passed the elfs and main elf threats were contained near the sidelines.
A very scrappy and risky running defense was almost able to stop the orc offense, but a GFI on the 8/16 turn scored the first goal for deano.
In a first ever for coach dunam, he was able to score a one turn touchdown.
The invisible armor strategy seemed to have worked; only a few KO's and the two chances to wake up put the elves only one player behind at the start of the second half. Skin to win! Skin to win!
---
The second half the deano's orcs played a tenacious defense and the elfs tried to keep the orcs far from the ball for a bit, but when the ball carrier was swamped on all sides, the elfs took a HUGE risk. They ran all of the support forward, until the ball carrier was standing in a orc tackle zone with 3 free orcs nearby and no safety elf. If a turnover happened, it would almost certainly be a score for the orcs. However, two dodges and a pass later and suddenly the elfs gathered a stalling defense near the endline of the orcs.
The elfs stalled for as long as they could until they finally scored 14/16.
A blitz kickoff later and a elf catcher caught the ball. Deano took a very well measured risk and instead of blitzing the catcher, blitzed open the elf defense to create an opportunity to score and possibly create an equalizer.
This is something dunam didn't realize until he was writing these very lines right now. However, the rolls were universally in the untouchables favor and they ended up scoring once again.
---
Deano played amazingly well but there's no way to beat invisible armor.

Also sidenote: I only slept 4 hours each the last two nights. As a result, I was doing jumping jacks to stay awake between turns.
And I ran around my room like a madman after my first 1 turn touchdown

So it wasn't all bark and no bite after all. Were your elves wearing orcsbane?
Congrats on the title

Well played Dunam! I only watched til Deano got the first TD, then had to hit the sack. Wish I had stayed up a bit longer now!

I'm not so sure. I didn't spot any obvious mistakes, except maybe one chance to push a wardancer off field (but it would have cost a blitz and two other blocks. Not sure that was better than just defender down you picked now) Btw can you use bbmanager to watch other people's replays?

You can indeed use BBM to download any replay you wish.
Just select the match within BBM, and hit the replay button on the toolbar. It is a blue "<<"
