The plasmoids one is ok except for the tv1000 roster. I like to start with 2 thro-ra's, 1 blitz-ra, 3 rr's. Having two players with sure hands can win games early on. The 2nd blitz-ra can be picked up after a couple games then it's time to start stockpiling foulers & pick up a 4th rr.

I'm new to the game and have been playing Khemri pretty much exclusively, first because I just liked the Egyptian theme (I know I sound like a girl), but now that I'm into it I see that they have a pretty cool field control and bash thing going for them.
I think I'm getting better, and what I do now when I start a team is forego any Thro-Ras out of the gate and just accept that a tie is as good as a win in the early going while you're waiting for your hitters (2 Blitz-Ras and 4 Tomb Guardians) to level up and become more fearsome. Mighty Blow on all of them, Guard and Block if it comes up on the Guardians. Thro-Ras are only 70k, you can buy one usually after two matches, and you really want those Guardians and Blitz-Ras to have a better chance of getting early MVP SPs.
My current non-league team has one Thro-Ra with Accurate, one with Catch (and now Nerves of Steel) and if the guy with catch can sneak in behind a defensive pileup it makes me wish I could see the other coach's face.

Constructive Criticism after playing khemri for so long: what I do now when I start a team is forego any Thro-Ras - A tie isn't as good & you have a better chance at a win early if you can pick up the ball. For that it's better to start with thro-ra's. Blitz-ra's won't win you any games early on but they will eat rr's picking up & you really need the rr's to throw blocks. One of the reasons to take 2 thro-ra's & one blitz is you can start with 3 rr's. They shoot up to 140 after finalizing the team so it's gonna be a while before you get the 3rd one if you only start with 2. A blitz-ra is significantly cheaper & can be purchased after 2 games normally. Mighty Blow on all of them, Guard and Block if it comes up on the Guardians. - This is solid. I start with MB unless I roll double on a TG. Guard comes second alternated with Break Tackle or Stand Firm. My current non-league team has one Thro-Ra with Accurate, one with Catch (and now Nerves of Steel) - This I disagree with in every way. Even though thro-ra's have pass (which is silly as all hell but whatever), with AG2 it's going to fail more often than it works. A passing game should never be attempted with khemri unless you have no choice & it's a desperation play. I made this same mistake starting khemri & realized quickly that it doesn't pan out. There's one exception I'd make for passing with a thro-ra; if the ball is deep in my half & I can manage to scoop it up & lob it then I do see a benefit to having one thro-ra with HMP as a 4th or 5th skill. Another skill that's great & requires thro-ra's is leader. Another rr for only 20k tv is amazing for a team that constantly fucks up. Hopefully that helps some. As you continue to play khemri you'll notice that their ball-handling skills are nonexistent & it's best to assume that if it could fail, there's a good chance it will.

That is all a huge help, I know people have been playing this game years longer than I have, any experience to be passed is much appreciated.
I haven't noticed such a problem picking up the ball so long as you surround it with 3-4 guys when you send a player to pick it up, usually one of them can catch it without a reroll, and you want to set up a cage pretty early on since you want to move the ball slowly anyway, right? Plus, if a Blitz-Ra has it, you've got block, and you (I) won't be tempted to pass it. That's my rationale with that at least, but that sounds like how you used to think, so I trust what you're suggesting. I'll make a new team with that setup now and try it out.
Passing with these guys is just fun. It's not sound strategy at all, but if you're not serious about the outcome of the game and you can pull off a surprise TD, it's really satisfying. I wouldn't play like that in a league or tournament, but I've had a lot of Auld World games end in resignation after I've injured two guys and then throw for a long touchdown. After I read that this is a tough team to win with I kind of settled in on just having fun and advancing players.

I agree completely. If you're not having fun then why play? If you get a chance, check out my reapers games. In my lofty opinion ( ) they're a great example of pitch control. Khemri aren't really a bash team & they're definitely not a balling team but they are a control team. If you can master your positioning I think they're one of the most fun to play.

Khemri are one of worst teams to play for new guys but also one of the best teams to play for new guys. Khemri teach you discipline, Field positioning,Bash economics and safety. Everything you need to learn for all races but Khemri force you into learning them.
A good choice.

Throw-Ras have been renamed Rush-Ras haven't they? Yep. Not only are Throw-Ras rubbish at passing with AG2, there is also no-one that can catch! Overall though, I do have a soft spot for Khemri. They play very different to just about any other race. I am having problems with my Khemri side in Open, as no one wants to play them (loaded up with foulers?)

I only get to play like 1 in 3 connects in Auld World because people see my Khemri squad and go running the other way. I'd also say that the majority of my paltry number of wins was by resignation. I'll pass all day with these guys, if for nothing else than to advance the ball. I just played a game last week where I had a man advantage so I sneaked one of my two Thro-Ras way ahead of the action near the goal line. I pushed the ball carrier to the sideline, strip balled the guy, and when it went out of bounds, poof, the ball shows up right by that Thro-ra and in for a totally heartbreaking TD, just because I was playing stupid like I was actually going to be able to pull off a pass. I don't play that aspirationally now that I'm in a league, but you know. Fun is fun, and when it actually works it's even more fun.

I think there is something for laying against natural style for the fun of it. Depends what you are looking for. Personally, I'd only pass with khemri out of desperation as they simply are not built for passing. However, when the crazy works it's pretty satisfying

Honestly, if you level up anyone on the team apart from the Tomb Guardians and get +1 AG you've got yourself a decent receiver as long as you have enough rerolls. Thro-Ras have Sure Hands and Pass, and if you add Accurate when you level up it's not totally impossible to do some crazy plays, and NO ONE will expect you to do it unless they've played you before. Now the problem there is MV, so you really do have to make a pileup on one part of the field and let him slip behind everybody else to create enough separation.
I don't know why I'm on my soapbox as the only guy who's ever played Khemri as a passing team, but I love standing out as a weirdo.

One thing I forgot to mention: learning to play with Khemri is probably a good idea as there's a good chance everything you try will fail & cause a turnover. This leads to learning a conservative playstyle, measuring risk vs. reward better & teaching good positioning. I highly recommend playing khemri quite a bit for these reasons as the more you learn these different parts of the game the better you'll become with every other team.
