I will say this for the skills on trees is simple normal rolls grab, guard maybe break tackle but low move so wont get far and so better to just hit who is on you but for doubles the one and only first skill to get is Jump up, yes jump up and that say no are idiots and dont play flings why jump up? you dont have to roll to stand up, and toy still have you 2 movement to go places are but i can hear the idiots now "but jump up to block is an agility roll and trees have 1 an + 1 movement is better" (say it in a real whiny voice its fun) well what i say is you dont EVER use the jump up to block you can stand up or blitz them to break it down a tree that has + 1 to move vs a tree with jump up when both get up the move 3 tree can stand up no roll but any move is a GFI and if you blitz you have to roll the GFI before the block, fail and down you go... with jump up you dont get the -3 to move for standing so you will stand up still will your 2 move to use so if both trees blitz a guy next to them the +1 move tree will have to make a GFI the JU wont and can even move another square so get JU over block I have seen many a tree with block spend most the time on the ground coz he got hit early and went down and could not make the roll to stand up... to hit a player you first have to be standing (unless a blitz) as for the TV gap you want to have... my old magic number was 670 with that you got star player Zara and deeproot, and you got the chef but now i would say if you want to be a killed team the magic TV gap to aim for is 830 yes be 830 or more lower than the person you play and the more the better your chances to not only win but toclear the pitch get start ogre Morg and tree deeproot and get the chef have morg back to get the ball, yeah it says in his contract its best to let him score but let him hit on his way and use you flings to foul

I'm a fan of JU, but just feel that block is a more active skill that is used both in offense and defense. There is also a decent shout for pro as can be used in many ways. However, depends what you look hot from your flings. My halfling team has a very fun tree who has mainly rolled doubles so he has block guard JU frenzy. It's an unusual sight to see a frenzy tree, but it's not great for positioning really. I find that slot of coaches miss JU and I'm not against the odd jump up block

If I ever roll doubles on a tree, I'll go JU all the way, followed by PO, if for no other reason than being able to shout, "Timber!" multiple times a match. Seriously though, I'm a big fan of JU on trees.

Halflings are good with the inducements - keep it super cheap (2 trees, 9 flings) and then use the inducements to pick up the chef and the star player tree. 1 reroll is fine as you will have the chef... bbtactics.com/tv1000-halfling-starting-roster/2/
