Well since it's Cyanide, I guess it's reasonable to look at "fixed bugs" as a feature. And adding aging would probably kill the entire game, together with their "player marketplace". According to the official page aging is a thing already. I just hope it's an option set by the league.

Are we going to be able to play cross-platform, or does that screw up the BBM stuff? I want to get some PS4 friends involved (I haven't bought one yet so I can't play anything online with them, wah.
Speaking of which, how does that work with mobile on the current version? If I log in with my tablet I can see my teams that are among the playable races for Android. Can you play league games from a tablet?

Might be interesting.

What is 'player marketplace'?

From what I understand it's a transfer market within the game for buying/selling players.

We can never say never, Pact certainly still could be a future possibility - although with the damage they have done to FUMBBL in terms of TV MM open leagues i, for one, am pretty glad we don't have 11 lvl 5 ClawPOMB maraudaers minmaxing their way through low level tv teams... this is a flaw with the MM system rather than the team itself, but still.. Slann have been veto'd by Games Workshop from being included in any future BB development & even though cyanide had initially tabled the design for the team to be included in BB:CE they were refused by GW & there seems to be no change on this stance for BB2. Aging is an old rule that was introduces approx LRB 3 or 4 rules era (more exp. TT experts can help me out here) It was promptly scrapped after unanimous disapproval & was deemed 'unworkable' in the perpetual league environment scenario for which it was intended. In all 4 versions of cyanide BB single player campaign played in 'Blitz Mode' the aging rule has always been in place, as has a primitive version of the market. There have always been complications with cross platform collaborations - at present the PC/Android compatibility is temperamental at best + the incombatibility with BBM has lead all private leagues i've heard of banning tablet/android players from participating. BB2 may well have sorted this problem - although early interviews have suggested this is not the case. Leagues will have the option of having a draft/market pool of players from that league being available to purchace for gold. At various points of the pre/post or even mid season coaches will be able to approach other players in another coaches team or in the communal market & place a bid on the offered player (or indeed, make an offer for a player who hasn't been placed on the market). Interesting times gentlemen.

I got the heads up on this from MercyFlush... twitter.com/cknoorAging will be mandatory in leagues while marketplace will be optional.

I have read on reddit that they were not planning on implementing the ageing rules the same way the TT version did in the past. Let's hope that will be the case or that they will change their mind on making it mandatory (which is always a stupid idea if you ask me).

Hmm - I can see I will have to buy a new PC. I run BB1 with pretty much everything turned off as it is! is your comp just a cardboard box with string inside? or did you just get the first one back in June 1944 (is it the Colossus computer?)

Not far off. But I am a proper tight arse. Hang on, I think a valve needs replacing...

yay cyanide listened. forum.bloodbowl-game.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=4648&start=50#p44850This from a Cyanide Dev. Hi there, I have some news to share! In the past few days there were a lot of feedbacks from the community regarding the ageing system. We discussed a lot about the subject, taking into account all your remarks. After some thought, we decided to make the ageing system optionnal for the multiplayer leagues. As a league administrator, you'll be able to decide if you want to run your league with the ageing system or not. So when you play in a league with the ageing option activated, your players will age and then will retire (and their years of career will be displayed as well as their retirement time). And when you'll play in a league whithout the ageing option activated, your players won't get old (and nothing will be displayed). Please note that in the solo leagues, the ageing system will remain mandatory. If you have some questions about this news, feel free to ask.

That is good news. Glad to see they actually care about the community. Unless they were actually planning to make it optional all along and just wanted to score some points with the player base. But I'm probably looking too far into it.
