Gorbag1 - Gorland Skulls vs Jounisii- Sour Saurii
Last week Coach Grobag did what Jester was forced to just 2 week earlier and pull his team from the field of play, 3 of his more senior players killed, among them was possible MVP of the year Gimalob, he is now just 1 vote off the lead and was love by all but the 6 fans that kicked him to death when he was pushed out at the goal line that would have been the score and play of the game. When we asked the black orc skull players what they thought of the 6 fans that did this, they talked for a moment amongst themselves and after they all agreed one said 4 were tasty 1 was tough and hard to chew and the last they are still saving till later this week. This may have been Gimalobs plan all along, he may have died in the hope to inspire his team and get some more sympathy votes in the MVP, its worked he has my vote.
Coach Gorbag should not panic this week his team is still stronger than the team that beat his so he may do the same this week to Coach Jounisii, he will have cash to spend will he use a lightning bolt on Intense Iguana? will he have enough to get Star troll Ripper? or Vrag?... The Saurii are at full strength, Grumpy Gharial has lost some MVP votes and will be looking to get more kills, and with his wife who has just laid her first clutch of eggs, it seems Gharial will soon be a father.
Prediction: sadly with only 11 starting players it will prove to tough for the skulls and will lose to the Sour saurii 3 - 0, but I for one will hope for the skulls to win one for Gimalob
Player to watch: look for Skink Intense Iguana to demand the ball on every play he is falling behind for the race in most TD's and knows he needs to perform to have his chance at MVP of the year
Hudd - White- Handz vs Goodpass - Falcon Firebirds
The Handz are no longer the top orc team in town and may wish they didnt hurt jesters hawks as bad now for they will be relying on the hawks to win this week. Ugrsh too is slowing in his kills and injuries he is famed to dish out each week. But he and the team are up against and elf team, as well all know elves are good to smash, but the trick it you have to catch them first. Goodpass has seen it all before and he now has plenty of experience when it comes to playing his side against orcs. new thrower Red Phoenix has started to put some number up fast and is getting to see more of the ball, I dont see Goodpass needing to change anything this week, why should he, its works all season and until other team find a way to stop them they should stay on track, but goodpass is also a crafty coach so you can never tell.
Last week Coach Hudd didnt listen and get morg, he went the cheaper rout and went with Troll star Ripper who did nothing but knock himself out and looked lost on the field. this week he wont have that kind of cash to spend, his best bet is to try to bribe the ref and get some babes to nurse any of his team back onto the field, Firebirds my just be elves but they are tough and hit hard, Hudd and the team had best not underestimate that
Prediction: Will be a tight game till late in the game then the orcs will tire and the birds will run away with it. Firebirds win 3-1
Player to watch: Firebirds Catcher Garnon Orren is still shocked he is not leading this years MVP, he has 8 TD's and will look to strengthen his claim as he gets 2 more this game.. He has also won this seasons vote for best post game hair and best post game party celebrations.
Insidious - Grummsh's Glaives vs Coach Jester - Night Hawks
Game of the week This is game of the week because the hawks are in a must win to have any chance to see the final and the Glaives will want to keep some dirty white handz off second spot. last week some of the hawks were booed off at the end of the game, many felt Gimalob would be in the hall of fame if his career went longer. Russell Willson shined last week and took the game into his own hands, and coach Hudd must be regretting his move not to hire Morg last week, when he found out Morg Killed Ed the strongest troll to play in immortal to date with the first hit of the game. But the hawks may not be getting morg this week. There are claims he is holding out for more money, Hawks Coach Jester had this to say "We are still working on a deal to get Morg on a more regular basis, he is a great player and has proven time and time again to many teams he is worth the money, but i also have a duty to may players and have to make sure all our contracts are locked up tight for this and future seasons, Griff Overwald has contacted us and offered his assistance, we have also asked Zara in for talks and weather wizard Zor Stormcloud, but its not all about the money, it will depend on if they can fit into our game plan this week".. when asked what that was he just laughed.
Coach Insidious has reminder us all that his team is still the immortal champions. They show discipline and focus to get the job at hand done and play the ball first and bash second. Its wins that get you to a final not deaths, his team know this, know what it is to be champs and are hungry for more. after all if they want to just kill they get plenty of that at the Glaives victory parties, very wild affairs.
Prediction: The Glaives are champions, they know when its time to win so I expect them to win 3-1, when the hawks risk it just one to many times and turn the ball over looking for the win that will never come
Player to watch: Skud has shown no fear to air it out all season long even against goodpass and his elves, so look to see him put on another show for the crowd with some more exciting deep passes
