Goodpass - Falcon Firebirds vs Jounisii- Sour SauriiWell it is time for the final, one of the teams was expected to be here, and the Firebirds did not disappoint. The other was a long shot to make it with the fact it was the Sour Saurii first time in the Immortal league. In the regular season they both got a win from the other and so it seems it is the best of 3. Only one play will miss the game and that is Vanval lineman for the firebirds, His tackling skills will be missed but with a fractured skull and a back that has played up most the season he is to big a risk to play this game, so we ask is this the last we see of Val? will he be back next season? What to expect in the game? I think we will see the saurii at the start try to bash out a win, and will see plenty of fouls, I think the ref will be paid off in the game by Coach Jounisii, he has got some shifty looking skinks playing for him. As for Coach Goodpass, he will try to score and score fast, it seems to have worked well for most the season so why change a good thing. Having said that however this is a final and both teams have saved their cash for a rainy daywe may see Coach Goodpass spend some of his own money and get Morg, a wizard, other elf star players or even some bribes of his own, But he will know to do so will give more money to Coach Jounisii... Just a wild thought, wouldnt it be funny to see Morg play for the firebirds on one side and Morgs' brother Norg play for the Saurii? and for all those who dont know about Norg he is Morg's twin, but not as samrt, when he put his name down for registration he did an M and and an N and so never gets the credit for what he has done on the field, and has only added to Morg's reputation. Ref for the game The Goober. The Goober has officiated 2 of the first 3 Immortal finals 1 and 2 (in both the firebirds won, is that a sign?) and was at one time a player for "Bob's Buccaneers" he was asked to leave the team when he refused to change his name to Bob like the rest on the team. He is also looking to still play on any team that will have him as he claims he is need of some extra money. Is this a hint to the teams he will take bribes? Prediction: 2-1 the Firebirds, can you really tip against the most successful team to play in Iron Phoenix? But and a big but it is, the Sour Saurii have won against the firebirds once this season, and are better as a team now than then so I for one wont be shocked to see a 4-3 score and the Saurii leading that race, I also thing these two teams make for the most exciting final match up. Player to watch: Intense Iguana won the MVP this season, I am sure he will want to end the season on a dominating note. And Semi Iron Lineman for the Firebirds seems to be a finals specialist brought up from the practice squad, in his first and only game for the season last week he scored both touchdowns, will he be used the same way again?

Those savings of a season Immortal brutality are 70.000 gold pieces. The team needs fresh blood so now I roam the Woods for a lineman with a fitting name. Or I could use some gold to test Intense Iguana for drugs and some legal Beer for the lads to recover more easily from eventual KO's. Even if this was not a best of 3, proving you are the Champ is done in just one way, get in the final and win that match. A match packed with fast players on both sides, my High Elves are loaded with skills and the Lizards have strength and stunty as a trademark. Proud feelings engulf me as this is the fourth season the Falcon Firebirds and I are participating in a clash between the best of the best. I am happy that I honoured the Trophies name in this way. Coach Jester thank you for all those pre match reports. Jounisii thanks for pointing out the weak spot in my line-up, leap is indeed a tool that can be added to the already well balanced team, I would expect you wanted me to take a dirty player to end the misery of those that pile on. I hope you can do the upload. I suggest we play our match Friday 21:00 GMT.

After we talked about a time we picked Sunday 14:00 GMT as the perfect time to play the Immortal Season 4 Final.

Enlisted a new lineman, his name inspired by the Finnish opponent jounisii and the Final being his debut is..... Fyn al Rhouguii, Jim and Bob pronounce that as Final Rookie. As the team has to face so many bash teams a filled bench negates that somewhat, it also provides experienced replacements at the moment death or injuries make a career is ended. Bloat bloat bloat, I know there are those that want to keep the Value low. I picked another path, rerolls in abundance, cheerleaders and assistant coaches and because of the many wins a pack of fans. It takes a lot of seasons before another coach has 3 Immortal Trophies ( see awards ) to beat my record.

A well deserved win by jounisii. His teasings can become the source of trouble however, not everyone has his sense of humor. In normal time we had a 1-1 draw and just before the extra time started I conceded. His strategy of attrition had proven to be effective.

You cannot suffer any attrition worse than a KO once OT begins, so throwing in the towel just to save players is a bit confusing.

Well this is my take on the game. first half Jounisii got the ball and controlled the entire half, he timed his cage to be in the right place for an easy last turn score, well targeted fouls on high level players took out some of the sting from goodpass. Dice felt a bit to favor Jounisii seemed to get more pows but it can be said he gave himself more 2 and 3 dice rolls and he was only favored a bit. second half i was ready to dub it the biggest come back since Lazarus out numbered 8 to 10 (i think) Jounisii had a solid defense and goodpass had no answer BUT he did not give up, and when Big J lost his krox you could hear a pin drop in the stadium the fans knew they were going to see some magic happen. Jounisii got the ball a number of times only to lose it right back to goodpass. Goodpass remained calm setting up a one last shot for the last turn that paid off, scores 1-1 on to overtime we go, jounisii got the ball and had used up all his RR's but had 10 vs 6 or so on the field, and as the clock ticked to over time I was witness to what may be the craziest, or dumbest call by a coach ever, for reasons unknown Goodpass and his team walked of the field. Players and fans alike turned to the ref with a WTF, the ref blew his whistle and gave the win 2-1 to sour saurii Questions have been asked, Is Goodpass senile? was he bribed? did he and he team just act like spoilsport brats and take their bat and ball and go home to cry? or was it to save the team to still qualify for next season of immortal? One has to say after the heroics off the second half, not giving up and to tie the game, to then give up is crazy, anything could happen. Jounisii had no RR's left so i would have made him make rolls and hope for that double skull a turn over with an unformed cage and bam long throw next score wins, Nuffle was on Goodpass side late in the game he could do no wrong and Jounisii strted to roll skulls and pushes. left a flat note to a great final. At least Coach pete carrol for my beloved seattle seahawks no longer seems to have made the strangest call in spoting history

I have been known to go without food, drink and sleep and even 1 date for normal games, hell i would give up more than that for a final.. dinner can be reheated a final cant and you could have said, and asked to just end turns and let him win

Jounisii won well deserved, we all loose rather to a truly good coach compared to losing to bad luck, sound strategy and good tactics by the Sour Saurii gave them the win. I felt lucky myself and could only draw at the cost of many casualties. As Coach Jester did run away earlier in the season, this was a good moment for me to copy that masterclass, hahahaha. After sending home the injured the team has 8 players left and 80.000 gold pieces in the treasure chest. So I can buy those journeyman ( I attract 3 to the match for free, adding 300.000 towards team value) that prove themselves worthy. Phoenix open is the perfect training ground for that. The team probably never returns into Bronze ,Iron or Immortal as the coach has set his eye for that 8 race competition in a far away country. Jounisii thanks for the lesson and advice, Coach Jester for those fabulous pre match reports. All other fellow coaches for uploading matches to bbm for me. It was a great season, 4 seasons of Immortal where a lifetime experience.

About the final. I selected aggressive removal and fouling tactic, while trying to keep my team on the pitch with apo and babes. GP's team is very skilled with 1 big weakness we discussed about. No leap to penetrate lizard cage properly helped my guys immensely and I could just try to grind it out. So good removals made the 1st score fairly easy and I felt confident going into 2nd half. I actually didn't try a stop per se but the opportunity arose. GP did very well with his fight back to get the score. But I can't help wondering about that abandoning decision. My guys were in a good position and they probably would have scored relatively safely. But that's only probably. As we know, strange things happen in BB. Anyways. Thanks again to all my fellow immortal coaches for the season. Our admin, CJ, deserves a special mention. And so does Hudd who got robbed the place in final by some sneaky lizard gits
