Hey ppls, Im curious as to the opinions of the IP community on a situation I find myself in. So I have a low TV nurgle team (currently 1100TV, my chaos cup team). I just rolled a 6, 4 on a rotters first skill up. Im torn between a regular skill and the +MA upgrade which would be an upgrade from MA5 to MA6 (definitly has potential to make a difference, that extra space, especially on a slow team). I currently have 2 pestigors so those are my only 2 speed6 players and I have the full complement of nurglewarriors and the beast so that makes 5 speed4 players. I know the +MA will make a difference but I want to know what people think? Is that TV bloat worth slightly more speed on a rotter, or I would i be better off with a regular skill. Other than the obvious block/wrestle, dirty player, what suggestions for skills and why if not the movement upgrade?

+MA is folly. Especially for a fresh rotter. Block or Wrestle.

If it was MA6>MA7, I'd say go for it, as that's obviously the difference between a gfi-free 2ttd and needing 3 turns. But with MA5, nah, can't see the benfit being worth the bloat. personally I'd go for Block/wrestle on a lowish TV team, specially with a team like nurgle/chaos who lack block initially, with DP or Kick as a secondary option depending on your build thus far. That said, I love kick on all teams so I'm biased. DP, however, on a low value rotter..yeah, I'm liking that idea.

Rotters die - fast. What makes him most useful immediately?
1) Kick, if you don't already have it. 2) DP, if you don't already have at least one. 3) Block/wrestle, as Michaels said.
Any of those is good. Everything else is probably a waste on a rookie rotter. That said, I do like making a SH/kickoff return rotter, to save a pest from having to spend precious levels buying those skills. Obviously, this fellow would only be on the pitch for offense.
In answer to the original question, I would never give a rotter +MA.

Wrestle would keep him alive longer and sure hands will save a reroll when receiving. Personally when you get chance then go for foul appearance ( to keep him alive)or disturbing presence to prevent the opposition from picking up or passing.

As Squiggy said MA 6 isn't that great epically on a highly kill able Rotter. In fact I would be hard pressed to justify a stat upgrade on a rotter for a first skill since Decay could easily take it away from you. Wrestle would be the safest option epically against block heavy teams but i could see the merits of all the skills you put up
