Unlike Blood Bowl DB tends to use and have other priority skills, in blood bowl its Block, Dodge, MB, Guard, Tackle, Accurate, Strong arm (for passing teams) I am sure there are others but you will see my point
in Dungeon bowl the needed skills are
Stand firm
Side Step
block
Juggernaut
pro
Leap
Frenzy
why these skills? Well because you can magic sponge back bad hurt player (yes they can come back on the field before turn 16 has ended) the best way to get and keep a player off the field is to push them into a pit or better a spiked pit so stand firm (and side step)stops a played doing this if you near a pit (but then Juggernaut stops that and so on and as some passageways maybe 1 or 2 players wide a downed player or a stand firm player, and so to leap over that player or obstetrical will cam in handy. It is sometimes even more needed than block as you may never had a player get close to you as you run away down a side passage to score
Though Guard is a great skill (if 2 have it and stand side by side to block a tunnel, leap can help you avoid them all together
Por is good as there is no half time and so RR's get used us fast and bloat TV. Pro on the other hand has a 50% to work every turn for any roll and can use even at turn 24 and up
some good players skill combos
The human wall: Stand Firm, Block, Guard and tackle, MB, Jump up
The over the top scorer: Leap, Dodge, catch, side step, pro, sprint, sure feet
The Pit Pusher: Frenzy Juggernaut Stand firm (or side step) sure feet, sprint.
other skills like NoS and Dump off are better than strong arm as you can only do quick and short passes in DB... and NEVER EVER get Kick Or Kick return and there is no kickoff ever, the ball is in a chest at start of game.
hope this helps any who are new to the tactics, This game also sharpens your skills for BB and will help you think differently
