Played as pro elves in Reddit's league last night after jumping in to replace a player who quit, and won relatively comfortably, definite improvement from my first pro elf matches, but I know there is room for improvement, so I thought I'd ask a couple opinions/questions here.
First off, the team's called the youtubepoops, reddit perpetual league, tv just under 1400. Early days yet but I'd like some opinions on the roster, my current build, and future directions I could take the team. It's a relatively bashy league with the odd dash team just for a starting thought, plenty of av9/mb but little claw. Secondly, the league doesn't use bbm, is there a way I can store a game there even though the league doesn't use it? And if so, and I get it uploaded, any chance some pro vets would be willing to watch and suggest thoughts? Thanks in advance, I play wood elves a lot but found playing pro the same way a painful and unproductive experience. Trying to take what I've learned from here as a base and improve, it's a perpetual short season league so I'm hoping it will be good practice.

Hi squiggy,
I'll take a look - as a note, you can always setup your own bbm league and upload games to there. It's easy to do, but shout if you need any guidance.

So team looks ok. It's a larger roster than my preference, but pros do have a tendency to die a lot! You could do with a kick line-elf followed by a dirty player one imo. Also wonder why you have all those players but haven't managed to hire an apo yet! I'd get one as a matter of urgency and also try to build up a bit of a treasury too if poss. You get a bad batch with a dead catcher and you are down to just one.
I'd also look to build up your catcher pool. These guys are fantastic and need to take different roles in the team - scorers, blitzers, sweeper types. I always try to have four if at all possible. I think jounsii has made extensive posts re their roles.
Rerolls - with leader you have four. Imo three should be enough. I usually go with the three and build the thrower to throw the ball - accurate, sure hands, dodge etc.
In a bash heavy league you will take losses do get your fouling boots on. Even if that's letting them past you then picking off stragglers. Average bash coach will feel the pressure to score if they start losing players. Remember you only need 2 turns to score.

Roster: 14 dudes is an ok number. Depends how you use them tho. I like large rosters because I tend to boot. Ceru is right about catcher number. More of those. In mid TV range you can have a couple of rookies running around, at higher levels I like to have at least some protection on current ones before hiring a new one. Leader is skill I might consider on an offensive shooter. After acc, safe throw... Well after that if you roll normals it can be considered. However, my style is very leapy and those shenanigans require rrs often enough. All the skills depend on how you play. One thing I see missing and not depending on style is kick. My 1st lino gets that. 2nd takes DP but now we're talking about styles. Some peeps give kick to defensive thrower. But it's a must skill. You can upload your previous matches to BBM. Create a league like Ceru said and watch your old replay (I recommend speeding it up - takes about 15 mins). I can comment if you dare ask me Giving advice on skills and tactics is easier when one has seen your style. I have my thingy but I'm a bit familiar how good coaches play their pro tams, so I might have some insight where to push you after seeing you play.

Totally agreed with ceremols opinions, I have hired an apoc...unsure why I didn't have one. Kicker died two games ago and I haven't been able to skill up a line elf to replace him yet unfortunately. Roster is being tweaked hopefully next week to start bringing in the other catchers as cash allows, but I had to replace a dead level 3 Blitzer this week so cash is pretty much gone. Everything else you both say makes perfect sense and will be acted on! I'll upload the game for your mocking amusement when I get time to figure out how :-) thanks again gents.

Oh, one thing I forgot about offensive shooters. Actually the first skill I like to take on them is catch. Great for farming.
