Im playing in a league with gobbos but facing only low tv teams, ranging from 940 - 1170. Teams are heavy block undead , Elf,no block demons, Underworld and tackle Dark elf. Ive reduced my tv to 850 2 trolls looney and a fanatic, x1 agility 4 gobbo, no apo and 2 rrs. I have 13 players which could be a massive mistake? But 140000 in my treasurey. Ive had no real luck so far, I managed to force 1 draw last season. Any thoughts wud be appreciated.
Thanks Ted.

You need a pogo, regardless of TV. leap/long legs, plus being the fastest player on the team, cannot be underestimated.

Thanks for the reply Sqiggo, I guess my idea was for the agility 4 dude to be my ball carrier, and replac him with a Pogo when I throw him in the crowd! At this tv I cant afford 2 ball guys. I was thinking of dropping the 2 rrS? Thus freeing up more options ie Ripper the troll ( does not use rrs).

Gobbos are not very competitive. Enjoy them and have fun! Hope my no block daemons roll many skulls! I think you need a bigger squad than 13 - the extra players are cheap, your goblins will squish, secret weapons will be sent off - and you should be fouling.

In early development, I'd pass on Ripper. I'd work at getting two bribes per game, and spend up the rest on filling up your bench. I've found I need 3 rr's too because the weapons are very unforgiving.
The ag4 gob is nice - means you have plenty of reliability in handling the ball, and may mean you won't need sure hands on your first double. What is your normal game-plan with your gobs, Ted?

V most bash teams I try and split up the opposition with well placed trolls and chain pushing with the fanatic. Then I base the ball carrier via a Ttm or some stunty dodging. Thus forcing a blitz or dodge/ hand off. Trying to limit his progress, waisting the clock. And Ofc chainsaw foul any downed player's. V my next opponents the Tackle Delfs I will cage up on offence and trying to limit the amount of blocks I give away, and set up as many 3 die blocks as possible with my trolls. Probably forcing the early Td if I'm on defence with repetitive gang fouls.

Probably forcing the early Td if I'm on defence with repetitive gang fouls. Take my comment below with a grain of salt - I've had mixed results with my gobs in league play but I've found playing as you've mentioned above most often just leads to a lot of hurt gobbos vs bash, and not being able to catch the faster teams. The best I've managed to do with gobs are usually a result of my being super aggressive in the first drive, drawing them to the centre of the action where the trolls/weapons/fouls are waiting and set up to do the most damage in a small area (crawling towards the endzone, or just staying still if no safe option forward presents, and keeping the chainsaw safe in particular). If I can hurt enough players (so that the opponent is down to about 7-8 healthy players for the rest of the game), and can stall out until my turn 8 to score (so as to make the most of secret weapons and not waste bribes), I'll usually get the win, or at least a draw. Once weapons are off the pitch, I've found gobbo screening play quite effective, both in offense and defense. I find when I have the ball, cages tend to restrict my movement too much - I prefer a loose cage if any, with screens to prevent a direct blitz on the BC without serious dodging. A running dodge handoff (ideally to a pogo) can sometimes put enough distance between the inevitable swarm around your BC, and with a few more luck dodges, you can set up enough of a screen to score. This method feels much safer than trying to throw a BC with your trolls (only for desperation 1ttd in my book). When they have the ball, and I have no weapons left on the pitch, I do what you suggest: I don't try to limit their progress at all... I usually leave a subtle gap in my defense to encourage them to move forward (but not enough room for a cage), putting enough pressure on them through fouls and troll punches to make them score quick, so I get the ball back. I don't bother hiring the bomber on my regular squad, but I like spending 60k on Dribblesnot when playing against low ag bash teams; best value star player for any team, imo (cheaper than a merc. bomber =) Nothing too new, but am always keen to share/get advice on how to play my fav. race in BB.
