Next season: Tin - ToolOfAFook AllStars, Halflings Bronze - WWW.TheBookOfTheGame.com, Goblins Iron - Mace to the Face, Ogres The Ogres need quite a few games to qualify for Iron - I will be looking for some Open games! Progress to follow here!

I am going to have to cut this down a bit - I will never get enough Ogre games in to take them to Iron level sadly. BB2 seems to have dried up the Open somewhat...
However - the Halflings are off! They missed the first game as they were the standby team, but are off the mark with a 2-0 win over some Dark Elves, who were curiously distracted by the tasty treats being offered up by the chef!
They almost felt overpowered...

Well Toolofafook Allstars are out - in disgrace. It all went like a dream against Shaunuthun, but then the luck ran out. Comfort took full advantage when the trees turned over their blocks. Squiggy took advantage when I mistakenly took Bad Habits rather than the Master Chef - I really needed them rerolls! And Wingsteel... not only did I have to get up at 06:00 on a weekend, have trees that couldn't get up, be unable to pick the ball up, have opponent pass every single Regen roll, be sent off every time I fouled, watch my failed dodge rolls only come in pairs... He even made me upload the match to BBM! Never playing halflings again.

Well my vow did not last long - The AllStars are back, in the Balsawood Spoon tournament In the quarter finals, they overcame Insidious and his gobbos. A good match up for us, as the goblins could get no bribes, and once the secret weapons were off the pitch the halflings took over. Actually... the halflings were rubbish, but Morg was unstoppable! Destroying the goblins in the second half, solo. In the semi finals it was HoggyPare and his Chaos. Again with Morg, wrecking face. We got to within a square or two of a defensive TD in the first half, but on the final turn the Chaos managed a pickup, 3 go for its, a medium pass and a catch - with no rerolls to break the halflings hearts. At least until T8, when the Halflings retaliated with a OTTD! In the second half, the halflings lost the ball deep in chaos territory, but fear of the Morg led Hoggy to try a GFI too many (quite rightly!) and the chaos break faltered. Next turn when the pickup was failed, Morg smashed the ball free, picked it up and sprinted downfield. How is he going to be stopped? He was briefly surrounded, but he blitzed and dodged free, powering the entire length of the field to score... We are going to the final!!
