You have come to the wrong part of Reikland, Atldorf's underside, you walk through a portion of what once was the sewers and find the dimly lit corridors and come across a tunnel dug into the wall which is decorated with much finer brick. this is the place, you walk down the corridor and find a large open area, maybe 40 foot high and fashioned of smooth marble, the walls plated in it. Built in the middle of this hall was a small, but ornate Manor, the fanciest building for miles. You have been told about this place, The Assassin's guild.
You are almost frightened, can you trust criminals trained to kill? and that you have to be alone as well as unarmed, is this a trap? but you realise it couldn't be, too many unscrupulous coaches have had unwanted players "disappear" at the perfect time for this to be the case. though even without that it was kind of a bad business model to kill the people coming to procure your wares.
you steel yourself and approach the door, knocking upon the varnished red surface, the sound echoing around you. after but a few moments whatever worries you may have had disappeared as a kind, elderly voice called out hoarsely. "Just a moment sir." the voice called softly, before the door opened slowly. the man behind the door was an old human butler, short and bent, barely taller than 5 foot but with muttonchops and though bald on top short poofy ash white hair that gave him the look of a decrepit old general, all that was missing was the monocle.
"You must be here for the master, -co-ugh, koph- c-come this way please." the old man insisted, wheezing and turned, scooting, or maybe shuffling, was hard to say, off through the manor, expecting you to follow.
You could now see the interiour, a beautiful building, lined with many paintings, each with dates below them and names, some of the names you recognised, "unsolved" murders, you assumed all were targets. until you saw a bunch of pictures that were of people wearing the same garb and the dates lead on, where one paintings date ended the next started.
The hall you were lead down lead to a purple door, with "Master's Office" on in gold plated letters. The butler knocked on the door then bowed lightly to you before leaving.
"Enter" a cold, but also merchant like voice answered with macabre timbre. a calculating tone that portrayed nothing of it's speaker, it seemed almost inhuman. never the less you stepped in to see a man dressed in exquisite black robes, with a long, thin triangular hat. he was sat behind a fine desk, with inlayed gold, there was an equally beautiful chair opposite the desk free. the thin, almost frighting man indicated to the chair, his short chestnut hair framing the face of a well kept man, but it's wear and the scar over his cheek showed he had worked hard.
"Welcome" the master said, reclined in his chair, very comfortable, you could see he had placed down the quill he was using to give you his full attention. the pause was a good few seconds but the figure spoke again, he had a voice that definitely made you feel safe and valued, but was doubtless a killer's voice. "Welcome to the Guild of assassins, i trust you are here for a contract? you want a pest to . . . disappear?" he asked, twinkling his fingers jokingly, as if casting magic. He didn't wait for an answer and leaned forward, onto the desk and locked his fingers together. "Let's talk about payment" he smiled, the easily recognised smile of a merchant about to have his pockets filled.
"We are reasonable, we can do any job, big or small. for a price of course. There are a few assassins you can hire. Our Mr. Kilm is the lowest price, at 100 which is reasonable given his skill, he is quite clumsy and does not write very good reports. Black Runner Skimms is more . . . middle of the road, with 200 being his base, as he will actually take some care and write a report. and Master Stonecutter is our best, he will get anything done and write a masterful report, one day he may even replace me, his skills cost 400 at least. if you want a big order we might give a nice discount. as for specials, if you want anything out of the ordinary we can talk over prices, they might get a bit expensive if you go silly, but if you have the money we will do nearly anything." the Master smiled, leaning back and waiting for your offer.
Author note: The assassins guild is for retiring players, you can pay to have them killed off if they are injured or just for the fluff. depending on your price chosen will affect the length of the post and ability of the assassin, for an extra 50% (up to 200 max) you can also get a bonus chapter with the blood bowl "Albion yard" detective division, trying to solve the murders (yet never succeeding, somehow)
