Your main fence has contacted you, Mordheim is ripe for the plunder, he wants you to gather 200 tons of wyrdstone yesterday, he has the buyer all lined up! Bad news he's heard other fences have heard about this buyer and are sending their own warbands in to get the wyrdstone, and the buyer is only going to pay the first fence to provide the goods! Get a move on!
The first warband to hit 200 tons of wyrdstones wins. If multiple warbands hit the figure at the same time, the one with the most wins, in the case of a tie then the campaign continues for another day (week).
Before the start of each week, each player must message the admin (me) details of which area they want to attack, the area must with in 3 areas of an area they control. Each player can also nominate one area they currently control where they have prepared an ambush if any other player dares attack them. If no message is sent then the player cannot attack that day (week). If a player attacks an empty area they just capture it without a fight unless another warband also tries to attack the same area, in which case they fight eachother. If the player is attacking an area not next to one they control they must specify the route they are taking to move there. They must also pay 1 wyrdstone for each area they move through (not including the final destination).
Should you try to move through another players area, or run into another player on route to your destination you both have the option of attacking eachother. If this happens then you are unable to move any further, should the player moving win his fight then he captures whichever area he was in when he get stopped.
Once the day (week) begins all attacks are announced on the forum by the admin.
Players have a week to arrange and play all their fights, should they have more than one than they can fight them in any order they chose.
If 2 players are attacking the same target then they are given the choice of attacking one at a time or fighting eachother first, with the winner playing the defender.
A defenders ambush only works on the first fight should the attackers choose to fight one at a time. If the attackers cant agree who will attack first then they will fight eachother.
Players can choose to retreat from a fight at any point before the fight is played conceding the area to their opponent.
Both players will post the result on the forum.
If a fight is not played then the admin will decide the winner based on how much each player has tried to get the fight played.
All games are to be played with specific settings as outlined at the bottom of this post.
Players are free to form alliances etc, but there can be only one winner.
Once all fights are complete admin to update the map with current area control.
Once all fights are complete admin to calculate each warbands current wyrdstone amount and their predicted income next week if they do not lose or gain any areas. (To help players spot who’s winning)
If one or more players have hit the target wyrdstone then the player with this highest amount wins. In the case of a draw then the campaign continues for another week until there is a clear winner. (Which could allow other warbands to pull ahead)
Once the week is over the highest rating will set the limit for the other warbands to stay under, they may then play one or more ai games to increase their rating. Should their rating go over the limit they will have to alter their warband to reduce their rating. If they do not do this they will be penalised.
Players are free to end turns as needed to get smuggler payments and let warband members heal. Just dont forget you are eating into the time to get the wyrdstone shipments fulfilled in game.
Should a player with to restart his warband, he is free to do so. He should create a new warband, he may then play campaign missions to get up to the maximum rating. They is a fixed penalty of 10 wyrdstone points for restarting your warband.
GAME SETTINGS:
Unless listed below, settings are to be left on the default.
Map Selection:
Each area will be assigned a specific map (to do)
Roaming Monster:
Daemons will be placed on the map, each turn they will randomly move. Any fights in areas they are in or next to will draw their attention. Daemon settings will be mentioned in the list of orders each turn.
Backtracking:
This is to be set at 3, to help make it more realistic and make perception skill more useful. This number my change after we're tried it.
Turn Time Limit
Set to 180 seconds
Deployment:
If a player is attacked in an area where he has setup an ambush, then he may choose the deployment (suggested deployments are: Ambush, Pillagers, Sneak Attack), otherwise it should be left on random
Auto-Deploy:
If a player is attacked in an area where he has setup an ambush then he may chose to set this on or off, else it must be set to off.
Winning Conditions:
Extra Objectives
Disconnection
As some people are having problems with the game bugging out here are the rules for when this happens. First whoever ended up taking the loss gets to play one ai fight to try and recover some of the damages and losses they just took. If the 2 players can agree on a winner then that stands. If the game was to close to call then they will replay an exhibition match.
This is my current thought, please feel free to comment as happy to listen to ideas. I've highlighted the changes from the current rules in red.
