So I rolled dubs (4 + 4) on my Looney Chainsaw Gobbo in Tin League. I'm wondering if I should grab Block (as a defensive skill) while I can OR should I grab Pro to RR 1's and Dodges... Any thoughts from the unruly crowd out there?
Maybe even a different skill I'm not thinking about, I will weigh all suggestions...heh

Oz dirty player. +3 armour roll AND +1 injury? I'd buy that for a dollar.

Id go defensive and block or dodge.
Sidestep for repositioning might be worth considering too

Even with Block or Dodge the Looney is very easy to dismiss,Id pick Pro or Dirty Player depending on the role you find him playing.

Can you use multiblock with the chainsaw? Cause if so I'd say multiblock.

No. This was actually brought up during an AMA on reddit. I'll try and find the source, but it mentions that multiblock doesnt work with secret weapons of any type, as intended, but does work with stab, and has been that way since the secret weapon rules were changed. It does,. however, stack with sneaky git and dirty player.

It does,. however, stack with sneaky git and dirty player. I read the rulebook and the description of when chainsaw is used was pretty much identical with stab, so I figured it probably worked. Too bad. I would honestly bank on using team rerolls for his chainsaw kickbacks if you can afford it. Pro only works half the time, and anything that knocks the Loonie to the ground should be avoided at all costs IMO. But I care a lot about my chainsaws, I prefer to use my bribes to keep him in the game as long as possible. I'd say block, going on dodge, then side step if by some miracle he survives that long. I've used many a blitz to murder the chainsaw before he can do much damage. If, however, you trust your ability to keep him out of trouble (or don't care) dirty player would be great.

Aha, direct from the LRB rulebook, skills description, chainsaw.
"This skill may only be used once per turn (e.g. cannot be used with Frenzy or Multiple Block)"
Interesting but pointless fact, if you take multiple block on a chainsaw, he first uses the chainsaw, THEN for the second block it's a normal block! (at ST2....with your oppo getting ST+2...maybe not so wise, but fun! Just tried it out on the fumbbl client)

I say go pro. Even though it would only be used for making sure your chainsaw doesn't backfire (and even then, you need a 4 or better to get the free reroll) it's probably a good idea.
However, on that note, Block is a good one, too, if for the fact you don't have to worry about him getting easily downed. So...
Go for whatever doesn't require doubles. If both do, go Pro then hope for Block later.

Yeah after all discussion I think I'm going to try Block to keep him standing a little longer. If by some act of Nffle he survives to a 2nd skill (barring another dubb) I'll give him Dodge and he'll be unstoppable... Lol...till he dies horribly.
Just wish I had rolled for the Troll 1st...sigh...
