Hi guys I recently had a conversation with a Coach who had written a guide on BB, I suggested he label his example of the Block Dice in a chart like this:- 1 Attacker Down 2 Both Down 3-4 Push 5 Defender Stumbles 6 Defender Down.
This format simply explains the chance of many actions for me, and so once I discovered this way of thinking my game improved (a bit ), and I thought it would make valuable information to Coaches wanting to read BB guides. So I was confused with the aforementioned Coach's replay, saying it was redundant. But this got me thinking, do other Coaches really get there Samba Action Calculator/ BB App or a pen and paper furiously trying to work out the best move, every time they are about to roll a die? (I think not, this would take far to long??) So do you have a better method, or is the key to BB just to sacred to be shared?

I use Samba myself. Not in game, but if there is say, two ways of doing something, I like to check which one was actually best after the game. There are usually only a few percentage points difference anyway...

I just use Samba. Even in game it doesn't take long to open the site & do a quick rundown. Although, after enough games you'll have most of the chances memorized.

I use an app on my smartphone myself : Blood Bowl Probability something. But I stopped using it during a match as you don't really have the time for that.
Instead I wrote myself a chart on paper ranging different rolls by chance like that :
2D Block noRedSkull RR = 99.9% (2+ RR) or (2D block noRedskull noRR) = 97.2% -2D block noRedSkull RR = 90.7% (3+ RR) or (2D block noRedSkullPow noRR) = 88.9% etc...
The idea is you can put any simple rolls you want on your chart, depending on your match/teams, and quickly see what is the easiest:
For example an 4+ RR (75%) is actually higher than 2x(2+)noRR (69.4%). Which means you are better off trying an handover to a catch player than a 2gfi run when you are out of team RR.
The chart is a living thing and I use the app to quickly amend it when I want.
