Latest from Cerumol: "Hi Michaels, Tournament will be starting end of September (28th), so we want to start getting coaches in from the week before - so that will all happen from the 21st. By the 21st I need coach names and race choice (so no changes once the tournament starts to be populated). If you have this already, then forward this info onto me and I can update our file."
I've sent him the coach info so we should be good to go well in advance.

We had a total of 8 entrants and the best 4 will go on to represent IP.

Ahem... What HAVOL should have said was... "8 entrants competed and the best 3 coaches will be going on to represent the IP...oh...and Doc will be there too..." I like honesty in advertising...heh...

Don't worry, Sparky (heh), I'll be starting a new res tourney in September that you can join. We'll be playing with the ruleset a little bit, too. Look for a post in the weeks to come.

Updated rules pack:
Tier 1 (Total Value 1220): Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elves, Dwarf, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elves
Tier 2 (Total Value 1240): Brets, Chaos, Human, High Elves, Khemri, Kislev, Nurgle, Pro Elves, Underworld, Vamps
Tier 3 (Total Value 1270): Halflings, Goblins, Ogres
Each coach is required to build a team of at least 11 players and purchase skills (normals/doubles) from the total allocated to their tier using the ingame team editor. You may only put one additional skill on any player. You are not allowed to pick stat boosts as a skill advancement. You do not have to use all of this amount when building your team. Any surplus will be lost, but allow the purchasing of inducements in the pre-game phase.
Inducements Due to the in-game system you cannot roster star players to your roster. However inducements will be available. This is the only way to add star players to your team. Exceptions to inducements you may pick are skilled mercenaries and wizards. This is a slightly clunky system, however the ingame client does not allow the rostering of star players. Tier 1 teams may not purchase any inducements during this tournament.
Schedule The tournament will consist of six rounds with the first round being a random draw. Rounds two to six will be determined by a swiss draw system. Places within the tournament will decided by W/D/L record as per in the in-game table.
Rules Amendments / Clarifications Stadium enhancements cannot be used Number of skills and doubles allowed are allocated by tiers Tier 1 = 6 skills maximum (2 doubles maximum) Tier 2 = 7 skills maximum (3 doubles maximum) Tier 3 = 8 skills maximum (4 doubles maximum)
Titles There are three titles on offer from this tournament: Team winners: This will be the team of four coaches who achieve the highest combined places after six rounds. Individual winner: The coach who places highest after six rounds. Stunty prize: The coach of a Halfling, goblin or ogre team who places highest after six rounds.
Any questions, direct them to Cerumol or email directly to tbbl.league@gmail.com

I'm pretty sure I'm not changing anything, with one exception. As a tier 2 team (People just don't know...The FOOLS!!!) It seems I get an extra skill (7!) above what I had in our qualifier (6) so I'll be adding one additional skill to one of my players (The possible choices are in Red Below), just to make the team even more OP!!! I'd take any good feedback anyone might have as to which would be the best choice considering what I am already set to take.
Ogre (Guard) or (Grab) or (Stand Firm) or (PO)Thrower (Wrestle [Def LB]) or (Kick [Off Utility]) or (Strip Ball [Def LB]) or (Accurate [Off Amp]) or (Frenzy [Off/Def Utility])Thrower Blitzer w/MB Blitzer w/MB Blitzer w/Tackle Blitzer w/Tackle Catcher w/Block Catcher w/Block Lineman Lineman Lineman 3 RRs 3 FF Obviously adding the extra skill to the Thrower gives more options and adds another threat, in some instances, to the team...Whereas adding the extra skill to the Ogre gives him a larger roll integral to the team matrix, beyond being the "Road-block" in the middle of the field I usually use my Human team Ogres as. I did toy with the idea of giving the extra skill to a Lineman but since I really expect them to get punted off the field fairly quickly in most cases, or "Foul-out" in others, I didn't want to waste a valuable skill on one. I'd drop a tackle for a frenzy then put guard on the ogre.
