Union of Small People isn't good either... No Cheap Bribes... No Cheap Chef... No access to Star Players... Truly awful... AV be damned... Just my $.02 Oz The peddling of this kind of FAKE NEWS is unacceptable. Union of small people have great players... The BEST players. Just ask Comfort. He knows the truth. ps. Send me a link to UBL, I need to look into that again.

You can't handle the truth!! In the right hands, the team can be devastating... Not saying to whom, because that's always up in the air. Sometimes literally.

In all seriousness, the problem is that there are other factions with access to ogres, orcs and goblins, so there is no real point in playing USP unless you really like treemen. And the alliance of good can have three treemen. This is part of (the only) gripe i have with the mixed rosters, that some factions are largely pointless when compared to other factions. Otherwise i love the whole dumbassery.

Not saying it wouldn't be awesome, just saying they don't fit into Cripple rules sadly...

Then let's raise the ammount of big guys allowed for Union of Small People to six, thus making them a slightly better ogre team (ogres with 6 ogres played in Cripple Cup. never were very popular, and never shown great results). Any other way they are actually worse than the original teams, while every other mixed race team can be better than originals (well, at least better than one of their originals - Afterlife United, I'm looking at you).

I suspect what you're looking for is a regular (non-cripple) mixed teams competition... Might be worth lobbying for one if that's what enough ppl want. So much av9 on the pitch seems to go against the idea of this particular sidecup... so while it'll make them comparably stronger, I'm not convinced I wanna make it happen in this format.

Then you would be wrong, because I already said, that ogres with 6 ogres already played in Cripple Cup (and were underperforming, especially after getting those pesky -stats, and cost like an elefant) and there never were any gripes with their roster. But now, when every other team can have improved rosters, Union of Small People is nerfed so much, that there is no reason to actually play this team, cause you can build better no iducements halfling or goblin team using other rosters (as Doc Oz and Tencoin already said). In the first experimental season you normally would make more allowance for rosters, because it is always easier to prohibit and nerf, than try something new in following seasons. Personally I think that roster with 6 big guys for Union of Small People looks less op than rosters without even 1 on other teams P.S. I would never play mixed teams in a normal competition, cause they (obviously) were not thought out enough.

My reason for resisting is not so much about levels of a team's performance - I think you're right in your assessment of the team, and their relative power. I even agree that it would be a lot of fun to play with more big guys. My main concern is only that having more AV9 will mean their odds of getting hurt are less than other teams, which goes against half the theme of this side-cup (zero rerolls being the other half). It's not a pragmatic reason... more of an abstract idea-driven one. I'm aware that this means they will probably get less play in this format - much like how Violence Together, and Chaos God's will probably not be seeing much pitch time (though for other reasons).
