Credit goes to Ren Höek , who was the original commissioner of the Cripple Cup back in the days of Bloodbowl 1. The following rule-set is an adaption of his tried and true method, with some minor tweaks along the way.
Prohibitions
NO Re-rolls. NO Apothecary. NO Purchased Fan Factor.
NO Dwarves, Necromantic, Khemri, Chaos, or Undead.
The only re-rolls allowed are via the auto-activated skills (Sure Hands, Catch etc), or being awarded one from a kickoff event.
Abandoning a game in Cripple Cup is against the rules. Punishment will be strict & may include forced sacking of healthy players, loss of points or even expulsion from the competition. Punishment will be decided by the admins on a case by case basis.
Inducements
You are allowed the following inducements only -
* Star Players
* Wizards
* Bribes
* Bloodweiser Babes
No mercenaries are available for purchase.
Stadium Enhancements
... are all in play.
Levelling Players
You may give them any skill except LEADER or PRO.
Releasing Players
You may not release players under ANY circumstances not matter how battered they become. A bodybag is the only way off the teamsheet!
Hiring players
No new players may be hired during the regular season. Stunty teams may hire replacements during a special Transfer Window (see below). Between seasons all teams may get fresh players subject to limitations listed below.
Nurgle teams - if during a match a nurgle team gains a player by killing one of the opposition then this extra player may be used for that match only (if it appears in your dugout). They may not be retained in the post match sequence.
Stunty Transfer Window
Stunty based teams are allowed to hire new players between Week 4 and Week 5 of the group stages (depending on the length of the season). New goblins/halfings/skinks/gnoblars may be purchased to bring total team numbers up to 13 Max.
Please note: New Trolls, Secret Weapons, Treemen, Krox, Saurii, or Ogres may not be purchased at this time.
New Teams
No team may have more than 3 players with AV9 (Big-guys with str5+ and a negatrait - do not count against this limit)
A nurgle team may have 3 non-rotters in addition to the beast of nurgle
Orc teams can have a maximum of 2 blitzers. During stunty-transfer window an orc team must replenish their goblins up to 4 if any have died.
Maximum of 11 players, even for a starting orc team.
Existing Teams for another season
No player may be fired from the team, no matter how rubbish they have become. The ONLY way out is DEATH.
New players may be hired (pre-season only) as long as the number of players does not exceed the following race limits:
Orcs - 11 players max
High Elf, Dark Elf - 12 players max
Pro Elf, Wood Elf, Norse, Human, Khorne, Amazon, Bretonnian, Kislev - 13 players max
Skaven, Nurgle - 14 players max
Underworld, Vampire - 15 Players Max
All Others - 16 players
Format
The regular season will be conducted according to the Wissen format. Top 4 teams at the end of the Wissen competition go through to a knockout to determine the winner.
Tiers of competition
Triage League - for new teams
E.R. League - for teams who have played 2-3 seasons
Intensive Care League - for teams who have played 4+ seasons
Admin decisions
Admin results will be 1-0 for an admin-win or 0-0 for an admin tie.
Admin results will take into consideration which coach has been more active in trying to schedule a match in time. Sometimes irl-stuff happens and if both coaches have had and shown intent to play a tie may be awarded instead.
Admin results will be based on what has been posted in the forum (NOT discord). Be active, don't wait til the last minute to plan your match.
Absences
You are expected to post in the forum when you are going to be away from bloodbowl access for a significant period of time. If you know you will be away in advance for significant portions of a competition, do not join.
Replacement Teams
In the rare circumstances that a team needs to be replaced mid season, then the admin team will attempt to be as fair as possible to find a suitable team to slot into the vacant spot.
