Hmm... seems I forgot that Silver was ready to roll. Well, when all one can focus on is the current Gold season, well, one can't blame me, can they?
Anyhow, here's the matchups for the kiddie pool that is Silver Season 19
I Kunt v The Rotrage Festerfiends
Manco v asphyxious
The Kunts are one of two teams to taste de-feet this season. They're starting to smell themselves a little bit. A smattering of claw/MB, a slew of guard, and a very mobile bull might make anyone do that, no? Save for the Festerfiends, of course. If they smelled themselves, they'd go six feet under. And speaking of which, they look pretty damn good, too. Only problem I see is that they're still a little light for what they need to be to run over teams. No guard and only a single MB will be difficult to deal with for now.
Fur Burgermeisters v Bay City Buccaneers
DocOz3000 v Oni Goku
The other unbeaten team is Doc's Meisters. Looking good, but like the Nergle, still need more skills to be really fearsome. But they do have some nice pieces to lock down other players and leap in and sack the BC. Another tough season's start for Oni's Bucs. They just can't catch a break, can they? They still do have some really nice positionals and enough blodge to be a real headache. Granted, making rolls will 5 different loners may be a headache. Commisserations, Oni, I've definitely been there!
Gorland Skinnys v Midnight Wrath
gorbag2 v varensire / almarion
These are tow of the three teams in the middle of the pack. Boasting a win, loss, and draw, something has to change for these teams if they're to advance to the knockout round. The skinnys have taken their fare share of damage over the last two seasons; it shows. They're still capable of dishing it out themselves, but we'll see how the dice fall. Varensire's bench has gotten deeper, but still needs some skills to be truly fearsome. The MA busted ghoul will slow that attack, but the +AG on the other ghoul will help to compensate. Just needs to keep them safe and stay away from the mummies!
DG Chaos Cowboys v Half Baked Orcs
dimmy v waaarghh
Dimmy keeps talking about a ladder. No, not the Champion's Ladder. Maybe a carpenters one, I think. Next one in his path is some nasty greenskins. Both teams are well equipped to bash. Both teams have +AG players. I bet this one will be decided on the LOS with the first few blocks. Oh, and the wizard. Can't forget about that.
Match day will roll next Wednesday, 29 January. Enjoy your kiddie-pool matches, gents.
