I need some tips and ideas from you nerds out there. I am on the brink of getting my next game that will help me keep away from human interaction and pale my skin even more. I am leaning towards the game Anno 2070, but I am not sure if it is that good? I like games like Sim-City, Civilization, Prison Architect. Building games and/or turn-based games are best. Other games I enjoy are Blood Bowl (of course), Command & Conquer Generals, WH40K Dawn of War (the first one) and XCOM are some others that fit my taste.
Please gimme some tips of what I should spend my time on next.

Some games that will rob you of hundreds of hours are:
Crusader Kings 2 or EU4 (Warning a metric fuckton of DLC and a steep learning curve but two really solid RTS games that focus on Historical accuracy over balance) Company of Heroes 2 (WW2 RTS made by relic who made Dawn of War series very fun game with still very active multiplayer available) Mount and Blade Warband (Third/First person Adventure game. I have over 1000 hours in this game thanks to not only it being a great game by itself as well as two expansion packs that shift the timeframe forward to Napoleonic Europe or backwards to Viking era Britain but also hundreds of extremely well made mods such as Viking invasion or Persistent world) Dark Souls (You will get stuck at parts and it will be satisfying once you get past them) Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm (Solid realistic WW2 first person shooter) X-Com Enemy Unkown/Within (You may have this already but its great, challenging and you can name redshirts after your friends and send them on suicide missions yay!)

I am leaning towards the game Anno 2070, but I am not sure if it is that good? I was looking at the Anno 1404 game recently which has very positive reviews unlike 2070 which seem mostly 'mixed' - couldn't honestly tell you what the difference in game mechanics are that have affected the reviews. - i just like the older looking boats

But the draw back I understand is that you can only play it as long as the servers are up, and since there now is some new game: Anno 2205 coming just now... so I am afraid that the Anno 2070 servers might soon shut down. And that would suck if I fell in love with the game but couldn't play it.

Damn, now I got too many good tips of games that look like I want. Hard to choose... Mercy Flush: Darkest Dungeon: I don't get it? Is it like a card game, or what? Hudd: Chaos Reborn - looks like some kind of chess-game? Hmm... Insidious: Age of Wonders 3 looks good also.... Shaunuthun: Yeah, Mount & Blade I have, those are fun. And you made a big list I need to check over thoroughly, thx. Squiggy: Yeah. Space Hulk I have of course played. I like all the 40k games, apart from Dawn of War II.

its a single player, dice based, team building side scroller with rpg elements - you take teams of 4 into various dungeon runs. they gain exp & treasure but also acquire stress & injuries which must be treated in town between adventures. so its all about the micro management of deciding which characters to go on which adventures & mitigating for keeping them healthy & sane with your ever dwindeling coffers! amazing artwork ,storyline & atmosphere. It is a very stressful yet rewarding game which really drags you in - there are loads of youtube runthru's if you want to see how the game flows: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvUz18klHvU&index=1&list=PLGqHdntcXSYpsq9K2YUCsBPi8iQ05LV0l

I will write a full of review of Chaos Reborn later - only played an hour so far, but am very impressed. I think it will really appeal to BBers.
