Well the last last Match Day of the regular season and it has been emotional for some, glorious for others and a goddamn waste of time for me others!
First things first. And please read this paragraph if nothing else!! It has been noticed by the admins that the MD scheduling has been a shambles from some players. Most of you are very good but some of you; some or all of the time are woeful. MD threads are for organising your game, for your benefit, your opponents, the admins and the smooth running of the league in general. Steam is fine to chat in and organise a time. But please post full availability here on this thread plus the time agreed always, no matter whether you have contacted each other by Steam, psychic thoughts or carrier pigeon. Also please post availability within the time period stipulated on the MD thread. Guys, I hate to do the whole angry Admin thing but it really has become very loose, and more and more players are carving out time in their week to play, sitting there for 30mins or more for a no show, and then having to rearrange again, it pisses people off!! We will be handing out Admin results if people don't comply with this, so don't let us down guys.
Anyway, back to the fun! Group 2 has been even all season long, and we go into the final MD with only one team mathematically out of the post season showdown! Absolutely everything to play for this week, and don't think Nuffle hasn't noticed either! So sacrifice those pets at home. Or if you really want the luck to go for you have a long look at your partner and think to yourself, 'How much do I really love you?'. Are their nagging, habitual ways worth missing out on the Play Offs? Only you guys know, and all I can say is I'm glad I'm not in line for the playoffs, or I would be dragging the blade sharpener out of the cupboard.....
Da Big Fellez (Coach Jester) Vs Flurples (Dravis)
Well, the blade sharpener won't be bothering our beloved leader. His season has been as bad as mine, and we will leave it at that! Flurples, though have been the surprise package this season, and oh what a package they are. Coach Dravis has worked wonders with his girls. I have never seen a group of women so agile in dodging away from their opponents, and drop-kicking those that they can't, that it makes you wonder exactly what Dravis' training techniques are? Can anyone else hear the Benny Hill theme tune..... or is that just me? Can't see past the Zons this week, 3-1.
Gorland NoPune4U (Gorbag) Vs Roskilde Reinforcements (Konky)
This one is being played as I write and it is a must win for both sides. In fact even with a victory neither coach is guaranteed a top 4 slot, and a draw kills their dream dead. Coach Gorbag had a great result against Hudd last week. Maybe he has picked up some training techniques from Drav? Who knows, but its a great time to come into form and he will be hoping it continues tonight. Its the draws that have kept Coach Konky's boys back this season. The only loss has been an adminned one, but with only one victory they have hardly been flying either. Looking at both teams this is a difficult one to pick. 1-1, but guys it's that time of the season where it's death or glory, someone prove me wrong.
Vengeance of Khorne (Hudd) Vs The Phoenix Knights (TyDog)
Coach Hudd suffered a shock loss last week to Coach Gorbag. Has the normally surefire Coach got the wobbles? Has his nerve cracked? Has the Frenzy just become all too much for him? Nah, I doubt it. I'm sure he'll be back to form this week, although he has a tough opponent in The Phoenix Knights. Coach TyDog too, comes off the back of a loss to Flurples, and although less of a shock, it was a game that by all accounts shook Ty into near submission, leaving this pundit unsure whether it will be the way to the post season or Amarillo for him after this one? These guys can draw their way to the post season if they so choose, but I think pride will intervene. 2-1 to TyDog, too much elfy BS on show for the Khorne to handle.
Moar Dakka! (Wenteros) Vs Sun Praisers (Gudrac)
Coach Wenteros is top, and despite a slow start has really kicked on since MD3. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is nothing flashy or remarkable about his team on paper, which means his position is down to good old fashioned solid coaching. And that should be a real worry for the rest of the guys looking to lift The Bronze Shield. As for Coach Gudrac, well you just have got to take your hat off to the guy. He has marshaled a battered Delf team from before the competition even started, and one that's got worse too, through to being in contention to make the top 4 on the last MD. Kudos to both Coaches, great work guys. For this game though I think Wenteros will end the Delfs dreams, 2-1. If this happens though the Sun Praisers can still hold there heads high.
