After a rough season of studying and attending classes non-stop, the time has finally come! Before you lay your final test.
Answer wrong, and you lose. Answer correctly and you become enshrined in the annals of scholastic greatness!!
Am I talking about regular, boring classes? Am I talking about a regular, boring final exam? The kind that might teach you something 'useful'? (as if knowing how to calculate a right-angle ever became useful to anyone...pfft) No, good friends, I refer to a final exam where you go toe-to-toe with your opponent. You answer exam questions using your knuckles and mark your answer in your opponents' blood. 16 difficult, unforgiving turns await.
Let's meet the teams, shall we?
The Underdog: President Kane and the fraternity of Tappa Kegga Bru
What a trying season for Prez Kane. As the other entrant this season into the Frat Cup hailing from the bleak land of Sylvania, President Kane knew he had to make an impact showing if he was going to climb the social ladder. If not for a timely call into the league office accusing a post-season bound program of academic fraud (they were hiring mercenaries as "students"), President Kane would had a tough time explaining his ineptitude to the high council back home.
Since that timely call, the boys of TKB have responded very well! Culminating so far with an upset of The New Avengers, Prez Kane hopes to continue in the underdog role all the way until the championship trophy rests in Sylvania U's cabinet.
Player Spotlight: Pledge Basil's Brother
Basil and his brother always dreamed of making the big leagues in Blood Bowl together as kids. When they both signed up at Sylvania U, they thought all they had to do was practice hard and play hard. Little did they know that that tactic had it's downfall. Pledge Basil always found himself where the fighting was thickest...
Since the fateful day that left Basil in a wheelchair, his brother has doubled his efforts on the pitch. Maybe it was Basil that kept his brother down. He's now the fastest player in the league. Do you think it's because he hears his doom sneaking behind him and he's running away, desperately trying to outrun his destiny?! Interesting...
The Favorite: Bobby Lee and The Marienburg Keydets
Coach Deano and Then-Colonel Bobby Lee should be proud of themselves. They have assembled and drilled the finest team in the Old World.
Spit-shined boots? Check.
Sharp twice-ironed creases in their uniforms? Check.
An immaculate gameplan dsigned to crush their opponents? Check... err... wait, what?!
Look, fellas, these guys know what they're doing. They have carved thru our league all season long. It doesn't get any more dominating than this squad. Drilled to perfection. If they're not careful, though... it might be their last with Colonel Lee. Which brings me to my next point:
Player Spotlight: Then-Colonel Bobby Lee
Is this where this guy got his start? Colonel Lee is certainly the solid backbone of this finely-drilled squad. Having the lead in TD's scored and Injuries caused certainly has marked this gentleman for something greater...
Coach Deano had better reel him in, though. If COL Lee is part a few more highlights, the Chiefs of Staff will have no choice but to earmark this fine leader for promotion. Promotion means the front lines, Gents. Combat; close and personal combat. But something tells me, COL Lee nor Deano are worried about any of that!
PREDICTION: What do you think, Gents? As I'm the underdog, I'll surely try... but I have no idea the result. I'd like you to weigh in!
Good luck, Deano. See you on the pitch!!!
