Thank You, because honestly I have been using something very similar ... with 2 blitzers on the inside and 2 long beards on the outside all with Pass Block to help me make up extra ground.

Thank you so much, that helps a lot and explains some of my frustrations. Whole point is I really, really hate being passed over by almost every race. To the point where I have even been experimenting with the Pass Block skill in combination with Shadowing to kinda make corner backs to further build on the Block and Tackle skills. Any suggestions on how to at least make a person think twice before simply passing directly over your line? First up i hate dwarfs, i find it will be rare for a dwarf team to score more then 2 times a game and i used to win easy with WE against them, Dwarf teams are slow and boring, but to get back to it if you think to make them into corner backs they cant play press and bump run coverage, they need to play a deeper zone or if man coverage play the 10 yards off and give anything underneath just dont let be beat deep shadow is no good for them and though i am a big fan of pass block it is not affective if only 2 on you team have it. A good coach will look for who has pass block on your team and blitz that player away before he makes the pass.... and or he will make sure both the thrower and catcher are more than 3 squares away or just hand off not pass and that too stops it... so its a skill you need to commit to and give 6 or more on the team with that skill or none at all. mind you 1 or 2 with pass block (on any team)will force other coach to think, and or catch em off guard but play deeper zones and that is with all teams the less move you have the deeper you have to be... never defend as a line you dont see it in the NFL do you?

My main objection to dwarves is that they make for very boring matches. (In any other fantasy-situation I adore dwarves.. they are cool.) In a Blood Bowl match vs. dwarves means 16 turns of cage-bashing and if you're lucky... 1-1 in the end. A waste of everybody's time and no fun for anyone involved.
With all that Block/tackle and high AV they are also over powered according to me.

I'm getting really tempted to make a dwarf team with a Deathroller just to see if it spices Dwarf games up a bit. Never had one used against me bar one guy who I scored against in three turns then his bribe failed

Never had one used against me bar one guy who I scored against in three turns then his bribe failed Death rollers are *unbelievably* terrible at low TV. When I played MM and came across a low TV dwarf death roller team, I rubbed my hands with glee... The reason is that you have to give up quite a lot to get one. And he is going to get sent off for at least half the game. Probably. A case can be made for them at high TV...

First turn, I failed to pickup the ball. Second turn he scored. bye bye deathroller.

That Death Roller is exactly in for that reason, to make you score fast ( the opponent, not the dwarves themselves). After that the dwarves can do their job in the office and try their 2-1 grinding match. Even the boring jobs have to be done, winning the match can be such a good compensation for that. Faced with higher valued teams the Big Machine can stay longer if that ref is bribed. Even if they die a Dwarven coach knows the replacement comes packed with basic skills ( Block and Tackle ), without having to spend a single spp.

Yet to find one useful below about 1600 though.
