So, it's the Semi's. The round that separates the men from the boys. We have both of last 2 seasons champions, DocOz and Hudd, poised in different Semi's. So will it be the weathered ex champions that progress; or can the new boys ThreeClubs or Astoner get in on the glory.... The Crimson Crosses (DocOz) Vs The House (ThreeClubs) So Doc's Humans will be betting against The House in our first Semi. Both teams have odd little quirks. Doc's Thrower with MB? And 3Club's star Ghoul is basically a Vampire in disguise with St4 and AG4. An intriguing match up indeed, and when looking at the teams you can see the strengths they've been playing to. The key with this one is who will be able to disrupt the other players down and dirty running game. For me, I just don't think you can bet against The House here and I think 3Clubs will progress. Has Doc, the reigning Champ got enough up his sleeve to prove me wrong.... we shall see.
The Snow Cats (Astoner) Vs Ahyak Rovak (Hudd)
As someone that is Norse at heart, it fills me with warm and fuzzy feelings to think that we will have Vikings in the final. You could point to Hudd's 2 MNG's, or to certain players on each team that may hold the key. But, as anyone that regularly subjects themselves to playing with these glass cannons (tips hat to Hudd's comments in the Quarter's thread!) we all know this will be down to whose armour holds. So hit hard guys, hit fast and sharpen those studs and GL to you both. Whoever proceeds will be supported by this totally impartial Admin for the final!!
Games to be arranged by Friday 17th, and played by Weds 29th. GL and may Nuffle be with you!

The Crimson Crosses (DocOz) Vs The House (ThreeClubs)
ThreeClubs Sir!
The Crimson Crosses aren't quite the team the Blue Bloods were but this will be only our 2nd time playing each other and I hope to continue my winning streak...heh
Here's my availability for the up coming days...
Friday I'm open to play anytime after 12:00 PST (that's 20:00 GMT)... I'm available Sat as long as I can 'start' a match between 09:00 - 12:00 PST (that's between 17:00 - 20:00 GMT)... Sunday I get home after 18:00 PST (that's 02:00 GMT) but if you're a night owl we could play then...
At this point I am also open all day Monday and Tues after 09:00 PST (that's 17:00 GMT)... These days are pretty far off so I'm not sure if I may get a call to work on either of them yet...

My good Docoz!
First off, nice to see another PST player so the times aren't so convoluted for once.
Friday at 3:00 PM PST works well for me and that is a very loose period so any where around that time works if you have a preference.
This is might first time in the Bronze League and my first team I've ever made for League, so the House will be giving its all to bring home the bronze! Either way this will the end of someones win streak and the Blood God will be pleased by the end of it.

Well that was a strange game! Blizzard all match. Winning most of the match and men down most of the match too.
I gleefully received, eager to get in a load of early blocks (see glass cannon comments above), only to be Blitzed and found myself really up against it!
The Rovak fell like snotlings, but the game totally turned when Astoner tried (rightly) to press his advantage with some fouling, not realising the ref's were Hudd fans! Two linemen sent off, only for stuns.
Hopelessly down on numbers the Rovak were forced to score as quickly as possible, sprinting in a T4 score.
A good deep kick left the Snow Cats a long way to go if they were going to make a score in the first half. Turn 7 came and the Cats ball carrier was still needing a single GFI in the snow to score on T8 - I managed to make a sneaky chain push to push him back another one, forcing a hand-off with re-roll - Failed!
So 1-0 at half time, 8 vs 11, the Cats to receive. Very interestingly poised!
I decided to withdraw as much as possible, pick off any opposition that I could, save the team for the next drive when I had the ball. But opportunity presented itself, and star man, Elkor Alish nipped in to knock the ball free in a crowd. Then a Rovak runner picked up on a 5 and dodged away to safety, not even needing a reroll...
The ball bounced free a couple more times, but in the end, a Rovak Zerker ended up with the ball and scored again to end the game...
Thanks for the game Astoner, it could easily have been all over in the first half if anything had come of those fouls... (not to mention the failed hand-off that cost you a score)

It's gonna be a great game - but there is no question the Crosses are by far the better team. Rovak have only played 17 games, to the Crosses 30. 300 inducements to play with though at the moment... Will need some time to think
