Tencoin asked a good question in another thread:
I am leaning towards saying yes to AV9 star-players, even if your team already has 3. Getting money for star-players already means that you are the underdog and get inducement money, so another high AV player might be a good thing to have? Also to try to keep the rules to a minimum and not make them too complicated as to what you can or cannot hire. The 3 player AV 9-rule is also in part to increase the risk of coaches getting their players injured... if a star player gets injured or not doesn't much affect the team.. since the player is out after that match anyway.
What say you other wise coaches?

I think av 9 players should definitely be allowed, as they will be helping the underdog.

I say yes, even though it seems to always be my opponent getting the inducements. But I'm playing gobbos this season, so bring on that cash!

the question is What teams actually will be able to use this? Lizardmen and Chorfs are the only ones that come to mind since most other AV9 heavy teams are barred from entering.

AV10 and pretty much every CC allowed team has access to him (except maybe nurgle). But getting that 430k in inducements in CC is the real trick.

I would say that the same goes for non-star player mercenaries also. There are enough limitations to keep track of as there is.
You may use inducement money on whatever players you see fit. There.. done!
