My bloaty bloat lizards in the open (Alligators) have finally justified some of their past bad skill up choices...
Spike, my AG3 saurus just got himself the PASS skill. I'm asking all the lizard coaches out there - what new pages to the lizard playbook would you add if you had an ag3 passing saurus to add to your arsenal? To give you a picture of the rest of the team - I have 3 catch/sidestep skinks, and a naked ag4 skink. Two saurus are rookies and can go in any direction. The other big lizards just have a combination of block, dodge, and +str.
How would you build (or rebuild) the team from here, and what ridiculous plays might be possible?

I'd want a couple big tough stand firm wall lizards from the saurii ranks to screen passing lanes too.

Someone's been smoking something strong. I would immediately fire all saurii with anything other than normal skills, along with any wrestlers. But to be fair, I'm a traditionalist when it comes to lizards. You want to get crazy, play some zombies. Or rotters.

Even Jounisii got in on it, and his was the voice that really convinced me to try this out. Sigh.

Diving catch on other skinks so when your passing is inaccurate (which it will be often) you can still catch it. Even better if you can get Hail Mary on someone.

I think they need a new headcoach rather than any new skills

Took them for a spin against Knockoff - it turned out amazingly well... They play a bit like skaven. The added throwing option makes them very difficult to stop... There are obvious flaws in the team, but at least its not one dimensional. I think Knockoff enjoyed playing against them, strange as they are.

Normally I'm none too fond of the scalies, but that was a really enjoyable match. Frankly I was shocked that the build turned out to be actually competitive . It will be interesting to see the build works against other teams.

Actually - if you just add Strong Arm into the mix, you have a passing game that has the High Elves turning green.

For the ag3 passing saurus, would you get a defensive skill like block before going strong arm? (which would make him useful in defence, and give him the option of holding onto the ball a little more safely)... or prioritise strong arm to make the most of pass play?
Does sure hands get a look in?
Hmm... not enough levels to get him everything I'd want since he's already level 4.

Really of course - Lizards need all their big guys with Block etc for the bash match ups. I am sure you know how much harder these games are when you have a Saurus MNG. Or some rookie Saurus in the mix.
Block would be sensible Sure Hands would be after block in my book
But if you are intent on the passing game - Strong arm. I am a bit pass adverse. Only my HE pass a lot. My woodies in Iron do a few quick passes between themselves, but that is it. I need that 2+ with a reroll, before I will consider it! 3+ with a reroll is a 10% fail, which is just too much if failing that pass is going to lose you the game - I will look for other options instead.
