Here it is! The moment you've all been waiting for! Week 1 of the greatest league ever! The Bronze Shield Season 10!
Too much? Yeah, probably. But where else will you hear about the pro elf master doing his pro elf mastery at IP? Or the mighty Hudd taking to the pitch with a bunch of stinking goblins? Or the cheatingest dwarfs who ever cheated cheating their way through the season? Or the most famous zombie horde to ever take the pitch at Iron Phoenix? Or so many other yet-to-be-revealed storylines?
Nowhere but Bronze! Now get moving, schedule those matches!
Due to the upcoming holiday weekend in the States, and the fact that this is week 1, we're going to leave a little extra space to get our week 1 matches played.
The matchups: Bouncy Bouncers (AMA) Wenteros vs. Wolfmen of the Old World (NOR) cradle1369 The Wolfmen's superstar yeti, Uggr Drosboi has yet another crew of rookie norsemen this season. Uggr is rapidly murdering his way toward a possible IP Hall of Fame spot this this year, but the real question is, what happened to the rest of his old team after season 9? Has Uggr been eating them?!? If the Bouncy Bouncers are afraid of that Yeti, they sure aren't letting on. Amazon blitzer Agamede Camilla claims the Bouncers will fell Uggr with massed bludgeoning with pillows. He wouldn't be the first player the Bouncers have killed by pillowfight either.
Seekers of Immortality (DAE) Squiggy McSquigginton vs. Green Jihad (ORC) Oni_Goku Oooooh the Jihad came sooo close to the shield last season. The big green lugs have been ululating in anticipation for a chance to redeem themselves after their loss in the final to Soviet Blockers. The Seeker of Immortality are now kicking off their first Bronze season and plan to be around for a long, long time. The team is looking a little nervous about taking on the green holy warriors. Will the elves live up to their name? Or will they end up as body bag stuffing?
Night at the Museum (KHE) DocOz3000 vs. Rookie Trap (DWA) CourierDan The dwarves of Rookie Trap are looking to whup up on some noobs in their Bronze debut, and who's more of a noob than a rookie skeleton? Dronglok, the Trap's very pass-prone QB plans to show the undead how a real passing game is played, and says he may even toss one to the team deathroller just for a laugh. Night at the Museum is missing 2 players for their first Bronze match and are hoping they have enough fodder to feed to that deathroller. The last thing the Khemri need is that death machine getting in Tomb Guardian Heh Apohef - Kohbet's way while he's tearing beards off Schedule your matches here by 23.59 GMT on Monday, November 20 and play by 23.59 GMT on Sunday, December 6. We will return to the Friday/Wedesnday schedule for week 2. If all matches are finished early, we will roll early.
BBM is IP Bronze Shield (S10) - D2. Password is 123. Winner to upload, home team in the event of a draw.

In a result that surprises absolutely no-one Oni's jihad take down the seekers 2-0 thanks to a combination of my inexperience vs developed orcs, four failed elf pickups and a brutally timed snake eyes on a dodge. I kicked, managed to position well enough to either make him take risks or score early, even managed to get a numbers advantage taking out his thrower early, and my leap/blodge and guard/blodge blitzers managed a couple sack attempts but only 1d, no steal but it helped to hold him well til turn eight, thanks to some nice positioning (On the plus side I'm seeing my defensive play improve playing good coaches like Oni) and limited him to a four dodge and gfi T8 attempt, which sadly worked. Second half...Well I'd love to blame the dice, my elves were incapable of picking the damned ball up! Overall though I've no room to moan about the dice, I just suffered an unfortunate couple turns where every dice was seemingly a d1, plus the one time I managed to get the ball free it scattered to his thrower, who with the elfest of ease ran off with it, which allowed Oni to pull some orcy bs with his ag4 blitzers to make it 2-0 after i snake eyes a dodge, then snake eyes another for added hilarity. Then just for a slap in the chops turn 15 I receive set up for a two turn attempt to make it respectable...riot on kick-off, suddenly it's turn 16 and I'm not set up for a one Turner. 2-0 final score. Game of two halves really, first half I don't think I failed a 2+ dodge, played good defence and was unlucky not to go in 0-0 at halftime. Second half, Oni was by far the better player and fully deserved the win, I made some sloppy plays and threw in some bad dice just to make it worse. On the bright side a turn 16 vanity pass levelled the witch elf, and no permenant damage is always a blessing for elves. Well played Oni, I will have my revenge one day! In the meantime good luck with the rest of the season.

3-1 to Bouncy Bouncers! Bouncers were outbashed during first half of the game, and in 2nd half it was 11(or 10) of norsemen vs 7 girls. At the same time, succesdull foul on 2nd turn made Uffr Drosboi, the superstar Yeti, into AV7 Yeti, and that should make the season easier for all other Bronze participants. Due to that, and also all those 1s rolled by Cradle (two 1s on ball pickups without rerolls by Cradle helped us score 2nd time during first half), we managed to won! Also killed some newbie lineman, but, who cares
