So, three matches in, and some early trends are rolling in:
The two remaining undefeated teams are both stocked with AV7 players! C'mon guys, let's put those boots in!
Ztrigun the Cannibal from the Lousy Bootlegs is leading the league with 8 cas and 19 total knockdowns. A close second is another rat, Pweyer of Itchy from the Trink City Royals with 8 cas and 17 total knockdowns! For once, Wollack or Zarrapatroso are not leading the league in casualties!
Four match days remain, however, and everything is still up for grabs.
THE MATCHES:
GROUP 1:
Valerian's Vegans v Norbert Fish and Co.
Insidious v Shaunuthun
Coach Shaun will look to continue the fortune he found in last weeks' match. With over 500k in inducements, he'll certainly have a shot! Coach Insidious and his Vegans are coming in unscathed and looking to continue their run to a back-to-back win for Woodies in Iron.
Moar Dakka! v Green and Gold
Wenteros v Parrigan
Old foes meet again. G&G has never had quite the fortune necessary in this league to be terribly successful. Last time around, they were fortunate to escape with their best players somewhat intact. Coach Wenteros will look to put those remaining players in the grave after the match. Sporting two (!) POMB'ers, this one could get real nasty, real quick!
Vengeance of Khorne v Trink City Royals
Hudd v Cerumol
King billy seems to have been forgotten with all the new killers this season. Might this be the perfect match for the reigning Champ to remind us all just what a terror he really is?! Hmm... so, Cerumol, how do you plan to deal with that Demon? Pweyer of Itchy will l certainly have his hands full with that task
Gorland Skulls v The Mouthbreathers
Gorbag v michaels
In an upset, Coach Shitballs... er, I mean, Michaels finally visited the loss column last week. Is this an omen of things to come this match? Coach Gorbag and his orcs will do their best to avoid a horrible clawed death. Goddamn wolves...
GROUP 2:
Raiders of the High Seas v The Waldos
Havol v TRS
After two ugly losses, the Raiders are reeling. They're amazed that their uniforms are smudged with a metric-ton of their won blood. They didn't sign up for this! Blitzer Green Crack and his crew are surely licking their collective chops at the prospect of some soft elf flesh for dinner.
14 Things to do with Orcs v Blood & Snot
Jounisii v Mercy
The 14's might be coached by one of the beat Coaches that has graced the IP, but when the dice just don't cooperate, what is one to do?? As the only team to boast a win, draw, and loss thus far, Coach Jounisii is looking to buck the downward trend. Coach Mercy and his Nergle are feeling the financial crunch most elven coaches are very familiar with; too many casualties and not enough dough to hire new players. Sigh... I'm with ya' Mercy...
Gilgameshi Gobbos Inc. v Pox Invictus
RTSD v Oni Goku
Coach RTSD will look to maximize the benefit of three Claw/MB players versus his diseased opponent. Coming into the match at full health, this match looks very even. Coach Oni and his Pox Invictus have made a splash in thus far in their first season of Iron. Silencing Kane and his cohort will definitely put them on the map!
Lousy Bootlegs v Neorromanticos
Knockoff v Hirumazeo
This match will boast the current and all-time deadliest players in Iron. It will take quite a lot to dethrone Wollack from that throne. Maybe a smashed collar bone will do?
Good luck this week, Gents. Enjoy your matches.
