I was recently made aware that unlike the "main" IP leagues (Tin/Bronze/Iron/Immortal), the Cripple Cup allows you to use your wizard twice if it recharges during the game, as might happen in a match using extended inducements. Partly for the sake of consistency, and partly because this is really blatantly overpowered (Wizards are great value as is and do not need any kind of power-up) I propose that this be prohibited.
Note: To be completely explicit, this is not a proposal to ban Wizards altogether, only to say that you can't use them again if they recharge during your game, as practiced in Tin/Bronze/Iron/Immortal.

I find that the wizards I hire are some kind of apprentices or frauds something.. they seldom do anything useful. And I am not really convinced that they are so OP. But it's good to take up the issue so we can all find an agreement on how to handle it. I my experience it may happen every 4th match that I hire wizards; that they actually recharge and may be used a second time. And that makes it a minor issue in my book. And I am of course also a little against adding more rules, since we already have 'so many' in The Crippled Cups.

As I believe it works, the wizard will recharge only if you use him first before turn 3 or so. Then you will only get to use him a second time on turn 14 or so... Then, in my opinion, it doesn't imply too much about the score. If I play for a win, I'll tend to use the wizard towards the end of a drive...
As I see it, wizard recharge only implies one more MB ko.
And, as I understand it is unfair cruelty for a classic league, I believe it is right in the book of stretcher !

Note: Taking the additional inducement of "Cheering Fans" will recharge your Wizard at an exponential rate... the more blood on the pitch will make your Wizard "Go off" up to 3 times a match...

Doesn't cheering fans affect the chance of getting a bonus reroll at kickoff?

Doesn't cheering fans affect the chance of getting a bonus reroll at kickoff? Aaaaaannnnnnddddd... Helps recharge your Wizard...heh... It's a Multi-functional Inducement... Lets call it a "Swiss Army" Inducement... No, not really... What you are referring to sir is the Kick Off result, "Cheering Fans," which can be adjusted by hiring Cheerleaders and can reward an additional RR... The Inducement, "Cheering Fans" is there to add a...ummmm...Multiplier? to the recharge of a Wizard, I guess the crowd "hypes" up the Magic-User and he builds energy faster to want to blow something up... As seen here: An excerpt from Ziggyny's Game Emporium: Blood Bowl InducementsWizard: 150k gets you a wizard. Once per game, at the start or end of your turn, you can use the wizard to cast a fireball or a lightning bolt. Lightning bolt targets a single player and injures them 5/6ths of the time. Fireball targets a 3x3 grid and injures any players in the grid 3/6ths of the time. This can often result in turning an opposing touchdown into one of your own. Wizards are a core inducement and are awesome. Cheering Fans/Rioting Fans: Ok, that whole bit about getting to use a wizard once per game? I lied. No one is certain exactly how it works but after your wizard casts a spell in the online game he starts charging up to cast another spell. Cheering fans supposedly increase the speed at which he charges up. Rioting fans decrease the speed for your opponent's wizard. Base recharge apparently happens when you roll on the injury table (the bigger the injury the more the charge) and when you score touchdowns. I really wish I knew how it worked and am considering playing the single player campaign to test it out. All fans cost 20k to induce and you can get up to 4 of each. Depending on recharge rate this may well be overpowered. The first wizard at 150k is a good deal. Getting a second one for 20k would be obscene. Oz

just disallow cheering fans, the chance of a basic recharge is slim anyways

The recharge wrecked me a few times last season, no cheering fans needed... value for 150k imo.
