A 0-1 loss for the Daedanauts where the High Elves forgot how to foul. The Ref obviously thought that fouls were allowed as there were no players sent off all match. The Humans scored in the first half. The Daedanauts had one player with a broken Jaw and some more were knocked out. After the kick off in the second half the Daedanauts made a hole in the human lines and flooded a blitzer, one catcher and another catcher......wait, no he filed to dodge. Now the thrower is left on his own with the ball between him and two blitzers. The Humans run the ball to near the Daedanauts end zone then stall trying to hurt the High Elves. The entire last quarter is pent trying to hurt the High Elves who in turn forget about the ball and try and make the blocks and fouls count. The only reward was two humans KOd but there was a silver lining, the humans failed to hand off the ball on T15 then failed to pick it up on T16. At least it was only a 1-0 defeat and not 2-0 Well played Flytime. Next time Nuffle willing I might even pass the ball, cause some injuries or even score

Joe, I'm away this weekend so we will have to try for a midweek game. Before I put some times up what are the turn lengths? It's will be much easier to fit in a 2 main turn game over a 4 main turn game this week. For a 2 main game I could probably do most weeknights GMT+11. 4min turns would likely force me onto thursday or Tuesday.

Hello doolen, the turns are 4 mins, but with no re-rolls there should be plenty of Turnovers so I am anticipating a quickish game - I play quick, so prob looking at around an hour I reckon.
Didn't realise the time diffs would be so huge in this league.
I am on GMT, so I see we are looking at an 11hour time difference. I can usually play from 8pm to 10.30pm starts most days I guess thats your morning - any chance of that Wednesday night for me Thurs morning for you or Friday night for me Saturday morning for you?
You say you are away this weekend, but does that mean you are back Sunday night? If so we could try 11pm for you - 12:00 noon for me if my maths is correct?
Let me know what you think. Thanks Joe

The fact that there are no rerolls definatly speeds up the turns somewhat. One double skull and the turn only lasted a few seconds.

The Immortal Rats and D.W.K. squared off in a tight match Wednesday. After a hard fought first half, D.W.K. lost the ball on an ill-advised dodge attempt by Pound the ogre in turn 13. In the end, the rats won 1-0, but the ogres got the consolation prize of killing a thrower and giving a gutter runner a concussion.

Hello Doolen, Monday and Tuesday night I am away for work and not sure what time I will get home Wednesday. Can't play Thurs due to football, so next week first day I could play would be Friday evening GMT.
Seems like your interview means you can't play until next week.
So I suggest we play Friday 28th 22:00 GMT = Saturday 09:00 Australia time, does this suit you?
NB Ren Hoek I understand you may want to move the week on before this, so sorry for the delay in getting this game played. We can play it in Auld if thats ok with you, before resubmitting our teams to the league if thats ok with you?
Thanks Joe

I understand your troubles to get the match played. But waiting until next friday for it to get done seems like a far fetched option. I feel it would be fair to just set your match to 0-0 and move on instead.

So can we play it in Auld next Friday instead please?
If you kick us both out before you admin a 0-0 we won't get MVPs so there will be no advantage for us. Once played we can rejoin and play our week 2 games.
Thanks Joe

That IS of course a possibility, but I fear that your MD2 opponents might be inconvienienced by only having half a week to get their matches vs you two in. But if you could get your match plans with next weeks opponents settled before the push, then; yes. We can do it that way. MD2-thread is up already, try to post there and get a date for your next matches in so we can use your plan.
Although I am unsure as to how exactly I can replace your teams in the correct slots again after kicking them out. But maybe some one here with experience in running a league can 8tell me that/how it works?

I'm not sure if life is going to let this one happen unfortunately. I'm happy with a draw (I thought 1-1 was standard?) this week because I have a lot going on which would make it hard to fit in two games the following week.

I'm happy with a draw (I thought 1-1 was standard?) this week because I have a lot going on which would make it hard to fit in two games the following week. My theory is that a 1-1 draw (without any chance of getting injuries) could be seen as unfair to those teams who play their matches, WITH the risk of injuries, and maybe don't even get a touchdown in. But unless someone else puts out support for my idea I can make it a 1-1 draw.
