(0-1-0*) Dozen Dirty Dwarves vs. Da Big Red Machine (0-2-0*) (Dwarf 1000) ApollosWill vs. Bubs (Orc 1010)
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)And IIIIIIITTTTTTTTs TIME for the eight Ultimate Bowler match. Another match of wild cards and second, and even third chances. No stranger to most, we have Da Big Red Machine, coached by Bubs. The orcs have just been short of a place in the quarter-finals, losing one match against the Chaos, Beards and Horns on Penalties, and the other against Furious Rage on a turn 16 Touchdown. With two matches on their belts, they have more experience than the Dozen Dirty Dwarves, especially Larionov. Larionov, have one of the mightiest blow in the Ultimate Bowler only matched by big guys. He did take an early knockout in his last match, which just make him so much eager to grind down some dwarves. Dozen Dirty Dwarves lost their match in over time against Michaels and his Ultimate Butter Coks. Even when surprisingly able to score a quick touchdown as dwarves, they were not able to prevent a score from their opponents or capture the ball in defense. Will they be able to do it against the orcs? This will be the last chance for both teams to move on, so expect an all-out brawl. The winner will face Nails, and his Crusaders Elite. This match is 4 min pr. round. It is a knock-out, with overtime and if needed penalties. It is important for both players to remember, that rerolls add to the chance of winning the penalty round, if going so far. The players are also allowed to concede the match, but it will be recorded as a loss by submission. This will of course, reward the opponent 2 MVPs and double the gold, which will make them stronger for future matches. This could become a problem, as the teams could meet again in the UBC. So before Conceding, weigh the consequences. It is the responsibility of the two players to set up this match, using this thread. Please, both players, post your availabilities (as in any other I.P. league). The time that is used, should be in GMT. Please allow at least a day (24 hours), from agreeing to a match day to LIVE, giving everyone that wish to be a spectator a chance to join and watch. Deadline for the match is June 17th, 0200 GMT, but please put your effort in to getting it played before that, so we can move on to the Quarter-Finals. Both teams have received a ticket for the match. Please Use it as quickly as possible, so the admin can start the match, and it will be ready for scheduled day.
The Winner will move on to the Quarter-Finals. The Loser will go back to the Holding Cell, awaiting their placement in the UBC. See rules for more information. Everyone is allowed to use this thread for any thoughts they have of this match (keep it "kinda" civil). Also, if you haven't, check out the discord thread. An amazing platform for Iron Phoenix members to chat, laugh and discuss, while watching a match. Keep an eye with the date for match. Come out and join the party if you can. Get to know the people you spent this hobby with.

Man, that's quite early. Not late enough to start drinking. Coffee will be my friend! My fault...a few plans in the evening (that neither involve drinking. Time to re-think my life and priorities).

(0-2-0*) Dozen Dirty Dwarvesvs. Da Big Red Machine (1-2-0*) (Dwarf 1010) ApollosWill vs. Bubs (Orc 1090) 0 - 1
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)Ready for the last Wild Card match, most waiting in anticipation for the Quarter-Finals. The two teams were getting their last chance, this match as important as their first one, or in for Da Big Red Machine, first and second one. The front page of Da Big Red Machine's local newspaper, had talked about how the orcs had been cheated out of a win the last two times, and it was clear the fans were not going to let that happened a third time. Match started, the dwarves receiving. As the ball were flying at Kick-off, so were a rock from the stands. It landed straight between the eyes of Jack Earbeard, sending him for a count that would last the rest of the match. But the retribution came quickly, and in the first minute, two orcs was as well knocked out, taking a nap. The dwarves made a cage close to the sideline, trying to hold the orcs back, but a black orc sneaked in, knocking the runner down and the ball lose. He were quickly rewarded by a troll slayer that send him out to sleep with his team members. It was starting to look good for the dwarves, 10 vs. 8. They recovered the ball and set up, a very loose, cage again. Lead by a troll slayer it looked like it could become an opening to score. The troll slayer in a frenzy, jumped over a fallen orc, and attacked the orc's thrower. But the thrower was ready, and as the slayer was mid-air, he received an uppercut, going to the ground, stopping the dwarves in their run. Now outmanned at the sideline, the two dwarves runners was making a run for it, through the middle and to the other side. A huge chance, without the protection from team members. Orcs, jumps them, but their hits is avoided. One runner take off, the other trying to hold a close orc back. This could be it, as all the orcs were marked. But Krutov an orc blitzer winks to his partner, and kicks Pant-Down Harley, between where his pants should be, taking him out of the match. Makarov is free, he have to run further then he have done before. But he have too. And he does, taking a well-placed swing at the runner, knocking him down. And first half is over. 0-0. Two of the three orc players, woke up from their nap, and ready to play. The dwarves were now the ones out-manned, 9-10. The Weather stayed Nice, and 2nd half were off. As soon as the ball landed on the field, another dwarves was taken out to sleep (or was he just a coward?). It became a game of patience. The dwarves trying to slow down the orcs, the black orcs, trying to make a hole. While a fight were breaking out in the middle of the field, keep a lot of dwarves and orcs occupied, a small band of orcs, take the opportunity, running down the sideline. Ball hold tight, while orcs are holding dwarves back. The two troll slayers tries to block the path. The orcs make a quick switch to the middle, and they are free. A dwarf blocker gets free from the middle, and run as far as his small legs can take him, desperately trying to hold the orcs ball carrier, the thrower Maltsev. Dancin' Booker Grimm, tries to support, and live out to his name, dancing away from two orc blitzer, but the dance ends with him not, only on his stomach, but with a smashed ankle. He will never be able to dance again. With only one dwarf to mark the ball, an orc blitzer quickly lend his support, knocking the dwarf down, freeing Maltsev. Maltsev is free, and he SCORE. 1-0 to the Machine. The dwarves still have time to receive one more time, but everyone knew it was over, and time to go to the beach. Even the sun knew, and shinned up the field as much as it could. Welcome to the Quarter finals, Da Big Red Machine. Which it is time for....the Quarter-Finals. Keep an eye with this forum, and be ready to RUMBLE. If any one else have some words, advice, match report etc for the above match, please write them. Looking forward to see what other players thoughts are on the match. Note: TV is calculated based on no changes on team, level up getting +STR and journeymen needed
