And IIIIIIITTTTTTTTs TIME for the First Ultimate Bowler's Quarter-Finals.
Only the Victorious have come this far, and the quest for the first Champ, getting close to be accomplished. Let's not waste any time, and introduce the teams.
Norbagge United (1-0-0*)
Knockoff (Norse 1100)
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)
The first team to be presented, is the team lead by the World Cup Semi-Finalist, Knockoff. There is no other coach, that deserve the first title of Ultimate Bowler, as much, but there is a lot of teams, that wish to prove themselves better, adding a huge accomplishment to their wall of trophies.
Norbagge United faced the wood elf team; Freedom Rock, coached by Parrigan Niall. Forcing the elf to score a quick touchdown, the norse was able to tie the game in the first half, having all of second half to score the winning touchdown.
Keep an eye with Ingort Kjelstaad, the norse runner, who scored the two touchdowns in their first match. Will he make it three in his next match?
He will be support by Langri Boritson, who caused a casualty and a knockout in his match. He is not the cleanest player, and if the ref is not watching him, you can be certain to see some dirty plays.
Ultimate Butter Coks (1-0-0*)
Michaels (Undead 950)
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)
The second coach is Michaels, a fearful opponent in himself, and armed with a team of undeads, you should just get out of the way. His opponent will not only look for the win, but also try to avoid getting destroyed.
In their first match the played against the Dozen Dirty Dwarves. The match became an unexpected war, and lasted in to overtime, where Michaels, showed he is one of the most decorated veterans of Iron Phoenix, winning 2-1. But the win came with a high cost. Two of the undeads get broken so much that they couldn't get fixed again. Down to nine players, Michaels will have some pre-match decisions to make.
Don't take your eyes away from the Ghoul, Whitey, who was responsible for the two touchdowns in their match. There is no doubt, he will add more to his name.
The Crusaders Elite (1-0-0*)
Nails (Human 1050)
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)
No league is complete without the humans, and they are lead by Nails, which didn't just choose the name Elite, but earned it.
Looking at the score from the Crusaders first match, 3-0, it could be perceived as it was an easy match against Weresquid Necros. That's only until you see the Crusader's in the locker room. A catcher with a fractured leg, sitting together with a blitzer with a broken jaw. But this is Nails, and this will only be a challenge, he will love to overcome.
And too help him, he has the thrower Jesus Girly Throw, who scored two touch downs against the Linnerud Lykanz, and the catcher Butter Fingers, who not only scored, but also able to stun an opponent, even when out-strengthen.
Chaos, Beards and Horns (1-0-0*)
Dragonvisper (C. Dwarf 1010)
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)
Introducing the first of team Havol, Dragonvispers and his evil dwarves. Dragonvisper have been waiting for this opportunity, and he is ready to not let it go by him. Armed with (as the team name indicate), Beards and Horns, ready to create chaos on his opponent's team, you better have your camera ready. There will be blood.
It was not an easy path to the quarter-finals facing the Orcs, Da Big Red Machine, decided by penalties. The dwarves lost a hobgoblin, and a dwarf have to sit this match out with a damaged back. The problem for Dragonvisper's opponent is, that this didn't make them weaker, just more angry.
Everyone on Chaos, Beards and Horns are ready to step up to the plate to become the next UBC legends.
UBC Titans (1-0-0*)
Kaiser (Khemri 1010)
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)
If you haven't heard about Kaiser, you have heard about Coach, Jester or even Coach Jester. This coach is so famous, that he need multiple names to not overwhelm the public. If Kaiser is part of a tournament, you have two choices. Realize you are not as good as you think, or find out you are not as good as you think. A win over Kaiser should be a steam accomplishment.
And team Havol knew that, by sending another of IP's legends up against him, Comfort Eagle, making the playing field equal. Kaiser was not going to smooth sailing to the finals, and he certainly didn't. He earned his place, by winning over team Havol's no. 1 pick.
The UBC Titans is going in to the finals with no injuries. All of his team seem ready, and we will hold our breath to find, who will become the next "THE Mummy".
Meat Puppets (1-0-0*)
Tector (Necro 1030)
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)
Next coach walking in do not need an introduction. Just look to the Gold Cup, the highest valued cup in Iron Phoenix, and you will see, that there can only be one Champ. This Champ is Tector. He is here to prove, that not only is he one of the best with Lizards, but Necros are no problem either (for the ones with a dirty mind...stop it).
He faced the tough Norse, Furious Rage, which were not just going to bend down to Tector's reputation or titles. It was a war, that was tied by the end of the match, 1-1, and continued to the penalties. But do not believe for a moment, that this make the victory of less worth, or else you could receive the same treatment as the norse, leaving that match with two dead warriors.
The Meat Puppets work together as a well disciplined team. Nobody have yet outshined the others, but together there is a big chance, they will outshine this league.
Furious Rage (1-1-0*)
Tencoin (Norse 990)
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)
Furious Rage was just introduced together with the previous finalist. Read it, and you will find, that Tencoin is more than ready for this.
Bringing the Gold Cup champ all the way to penalties, and continue taking out his next opponent, Da Big Red Machine. Some would say that wild cards is a cheating way to enter the finals, to them, I can only say, go watch Furious Rage matches, and you will see, it is not easy manner.
Watch out for Rakr the Fierce, who not only can hand out injuries, but will recover from one quickly as well. Furious Rage also have, and probably the biggest star of Ultimate Bowler at this time, Grettir Vigfussson, which not only have scored twice, but also inflicted five injuries, where two of them became casualties.
Da Big Red Machine (1-2-0*)
Bubs (Orc 1090)
*Wins - Losses - Losses by Submission (UBC)
The last wild card, Bubs and Da Big Red Machine, fought their way through the Ultimate Bowler to be able to enter the Quarter-Finals. Bubs have proven, that no matter what card he is handed and whatever nuffle will throw at him, he will not submit.
Losing a match against Chaos, Beards and Horns by penalties, and Furious Rage taking the first wild card match on turn 16, most coaches would have packed their bags, and said, forget about it. But Bubs, was ready. Facing the Dozen Dirty Dwarves, the Machine was more than capable of holding them back and preventing any chance for scoring, and just before the clock running out, securing their well-deserved place in the Quarter-Finals.
Keep an eye with the Duo Blitzers, Krutov and Larionov. Krutov inflicting three injuries and 1 MVP, is becoming the leader of Da Reds, and Larionov, is ready to dealing punishment with this mighty blow.
